2008 U18 AAA in the GTHL
Re: 2008 U18 AAA in the GTHL
I'm sure the Minnesota high school teams are on the ice double what the kids in the GTHL do.
Local Prep parents, how many times a week is your athlete on the ice a week excluding game?
how many times a week is your athlete on the in the gym during the week?
GTHL, practice twice a week and gym twice a week.

And guess what they did during Covid while Canadians were locked up, wearing masks, and scared of a common flu? They were on the ice multiple times a day. While Canadians players did nothing. I doubt any 2009 players crack the NHL. There’s a reason why there won’t be many GTHL players being drafted to OHL.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 3:42 pm I'm sure the Minnesota high school teams are on the ice double what the kids in the GTHL do.

2009 is a very weak group indeed.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 3:50 pmAnd guess what they did during Covid while Canadians were locked up, wearing masks, and scared of a common flu? Too many kids are being taught to be the one man show. this is a TEAM sport. your kid will get cut for this behaviour, and you aren't helping them, you're the cause for their segregation. That goes for every level of hockey. Parents counting goals is retarted, thinking it’s going to matter. I’ve witnessed it with AA parents and they think the kid is on his way to the show and the kid can’t even make AAA.

St Andrews prep routinely beat top JR B teams and other prep teams that would probably give a few OHL teams a runGuest wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 3:42 pm I'm sure the Minnesota high school teams are on the ice double what the kids in the GTHL do.

Yeah, I totally agree, St Andrew’s is legit. Same with St Mike’s and UCC. These are the real deal prep schools people actually recognize, not those thrown together hockey first schools with zero academics behind them.
St Andrew’s especially doesn’t just take anyone, they actually accept top tier students, and teams know that. It goes a long way when a player’s coming out of a respected program like that. You’re not just another name from a random hockey academy, you’re coming from a school with real structure, real standards, and serious rep.

Lmfao!!! Buddy, the money is what gets you in. You’re stupid if you think otherwise. Good players with big daddy wallets. A lot of those kids are real entitled shitheads.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Apr 05, 2025 9:39 amGuest wrote: ↑Sat Apr 05, 2025 9:20 amSt Andrews prep routinely beat top JR B teams and other prep teams that would probably give a few OHL teams a runGuest wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 3:42 pm I'm sure the Minnesota high school teams are on the ice double what the kids in the GTHL do.

But hockey is money: you need to pay to play. St. Andrews sets them up for an entitled future and what is wrong with it?Guest wrote: ↑Sat Apr 05, 2025 12:08 pmLmfao!!! Re: 2008 U18 AAA in the GTHL
Apparently, there's such a large pool of players trying out for AAA this year that they can afford to be really selective. And let’s be honest, we all know AAA tends to go for the tough, physical players. Those are the ones who seem to get picked, even by the lower tier teams.
Re: 2008 U18 AAA in the GTHL
There's not, pal. So many 07s are leaving the game, so there are lots of spots. Bigger is better, unless you are super skilled, but if you were, you'd be draft already. Have fun. Play hard. Enjoy the year.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 8:04 pm Apparently, there's such a large pool of players trying out for AAA this year that they can afford to be really selective.
