As parents, yeah, it’s natural to get heated when you see your kid or any kid go down like that. We’ve all been there, wanting to jump on the ice to help. But truthfully, I don’t think the hit was intentional and that’s not for any of us to decide anyway, the league will handle that. All anyone wants is for the kid to get the best care and make a full recovery, hockey or not.

But let’s be real, two wrongs don’t make a right. Jumping to call a kid dirty or attacking another team doesn’t change what happened or help the kid recover. And honestly, a big part of the problem is that one TA parent who’s been causing chaos for years. Everyone knows it. The dude’s been loud, aggressive, and flat-out embarrassing in the stands and that’s exactly why families have walked away from TA. It’s been a long time coming and it’s gotta be addressed.

Bottom line…hoping the kid recovers fully and finds something he loves doing, hockey or not. But that parent? Yeah, his behavior’s been outta pocket for way too long. Time to put a stop to it.
TRT consistent dirty hits to the head have been out of pocket for way too long. Time to put a stop to it.

Obviously everyone’s hoping the kid’s gonna be okay, no one ever wants to see that happen.

But man, TA always pulls the same stunt every time they lose. It’s like clockwork, blame the other team, stir up drama, never just take the L and move on. Seen it way too many times with them.

One thing no one is mentioning is the GTHLs role in this.
A U16 playoff game being played in the smallest rink. No biz for a game at this level to be played in
Also the kicker - Several "A" games witn no contact were be played at Scotia and Chesswood same night that could have prevented this
GTHL should never allow games at Larry Grossman. TRT was the home team. How is this rink even on radar

I don't understand what the TA parent has to do with this. It was bad hit anyway you look at it, and now the kid is in, or was in hospital.
All the other stuff is for a different forum/discussion.
The TRT kid is well known for dirty hits. Has for years. Ask anyone in the loop. Bizarre these TRT parents can't accept it.

So you don’t get how a grown man who’s constantly antagonizing other teams, chirping kids, parents, refs, and coaches has anything to do with this? This dude’s been causing problems for years. He’s even got a history of causing issues at tournaments in the States to the point where he’s not even allowed to cross the border with his team anymore. That’s how bad his rep is. And his own team is so fed up with him that families are literally leaving just to get away from him.

And yeah, you can talk about the kid making bad hits but if the league still lets him play, clearly they don’t see it the same way you do. So why’s it so hard to understand that two wrongs don’t make a right? This parent jumps at any chance to stir the pot and make a scene. It’s not even about hockey for him anymore, it’s just straight drama.

The TR parent group seems to consistently blame other teams and parents, which has created a lot of frustration. Unfortunately, they’ve developed a reputation as the most disliked groups in the league.

Regarding the recent incident, it's deeply concerning. The player known for dangerous behavior should face a lengthy suspension. While TR may argue it was just a “tough” hit, the reality is that a kid was seriously injured, suffering convulsions on the ice — a truly tragic and unacceptable outcome. Additionally, while it’s not visible in the video, the TR player also delivered a cross-check to the injured player's head.

As for TR's ambitions to move up to U18AA, it's surprising given they barely won the league by a single point and have yet to claim a city title. Its laughable. Just come to terms with the fact your kid is not a AAA player and stop being the douchbags you are!

Lets go Panthers in the finals. I know our East team will be out there cheering the Panthers on!!!

OMG trt parents. your statement says it all. The kid makes bad hits, but the league still lets him play. You guys are a joke! You agree the kid is a very dirty player, but hey why should we care! Complete hypercritical parent group. Never our Fault!

TA parent is a tool. Period. Should be banned for life from all youth hockey. Period

TRT is coached to play super physical. Period. Borderline dirty. Period. They have a small group of forwards who are giant men including the offending player, whose role it is to go out and hit to intimidate and hurt, not separate puck from player as that's what the purpose of body contact is for. They lack skill, they are poor skaters, they are just big. That's a fact. If you want proof go watch the SS semi final OT against VP. count home many shift the big boys got across the multiple overtimes. I'll give you a hint you only need one hand to keep count for all 3 of them. Video don't lie. Proof that they lack hockey skill and serve one purpose. Which is fine, good strategy I guess. When they come back to GTHL world they get to play as that's the game plan -hit to hurt and intimidate. Where people get edgy on this topic is everyone except TRT patents it seems see this and know this. The big guys are repeat offenders. Tell me I'm lying? Let's make a wager over the last 3 seasons of body contact I bet you they have combined for over 50 head contact/boarding/hit from roughing penalties combined as a group and I bet you over 10+ suspensions. Prove I'm wrong. Full teams don't have that many combined compared to that small group of guys. Time to give your heads a shake. Your excuse is always kids dive or are to soft. Sure bud. Don't be upset when someone bigger and meaner comes along and does it to your kid. There's always someone bigger in the world...... Good luck

So this is the same “dad” who’s always out here antagonizing and causing chaos every game, and now he’s doin’ the same thing on here… classic. Like bro, you said yourself the focus should be on the injured kid, but here you are still trying to stir the pot. And let’s not forget the real concern, you straight up put hands on a minor during the game, and yep, it’s all caught on video. Maybe worry about that instead of chirping teams online.

There are two issues. One a parent losing it...obviously not good. No one condones this. But this is completely separate from what happened last night This all started due to a bad hit from a dirty player with a known reputation and multiple previous hits that are similiar. No matter what, TRT group can't take responsibility. It's amazing to follow this thread. Anytime someone states this, the reply is the TA parent etc. Give your head a shake . #13 is dirty, always has been and now hopefully is out of minor hockey for as long as it takes for him to learn.
The lack of self awareness is astounding.
