Opportunity for a play-in game for one of three wildcard spots. One play-in spot to the highest remaining seed in the G, which is the Marlies as it stands. If JRC loses tonight they become the highest remaining seed and take that spot. If that happens Marlies will still be awarded a play-in game. There are two play-in game spots that are at the full discretion of the "selection committee" and that's a lock.

Re: 2009 GTHL AAA
Wrong. The only guaranteed wild card spot goes to the highest remaining G team not in the semi finals so when TRW beats JRC tonight JRC will be awarded a wildcard spot. The Marlies have to hope they get voted in for one of the 2 remaining spots not earned.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 12:30 pmOpportunity for a play-in game for one of three wildcard spots. OHL CUP WILD CARD PLAY-IN
Six teams will take part in a one-game, “win and you’re in” match-up prior to the start of the OHL Cup on Monday, March 24.
Four spots for play in games will be granted automatically through the following ways:
1. Highest remaining seed in the ALLIANCE
2. Fifth place team at the OMHA Championship
3. Highest remaining seed in the GTHL Playoffs
4. HNO entry Thunder Bay Kings
A selection committee will name the remaining two teams by no later than Friday, March 21st. The committee will evaluate and review teams’ regular-season, post-season and tournament play.
Wild Card play-in match-ups and home/away seeding will be decided through a random draw.
The three winners from the Wild Card play-in games will advance to the OHL Cup.

Red wings knock our jrc 3-0 win after being down 2-0 in the series good for them.
Re: 2009 GTHL AAA

Re: 2009 GTHL AAA
MV and DD are probably the worst at running a bench. JF out coached them every game. Ran 3 lines all series and didn’t tire out his guys. These young coaches don’t know what they are doing. They used a logo to recruit. MV hasn’t taught that team anything. Perimeter play, 60 ft stretch passes with forwards waiting at opposite blue line. So predictable every single game. Great job MV. Couldn’t win anything this year. Still living off the U14 OHL cup win. Joke
Re: 2009 GTHL AAA
MV is scared of SR dad. Kept playing him all game when he turned over 60 picks. CW tries skating through 5 guys all game, and BM on the ice more than KA. Something’s off in MV head. Jeez
Re: 2009 GTHL AAA
MV can’t run a bench or develop players. He’s all about $$$$$$Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 11:52 pm MV is scared of SR dad. Kept playing him all game when he turned over 60 picks. CW tries skating through 5 guys all game, and BM on the ice more than KA. Something’s off in MV head. Jeez
