It would make sense, but I heard with open boarders the G isn't adding more teams out of fear entire A teams who don't want to hit will simply make the move and take over a team ie. Royals & Duffield.

Let's hope it's true, we need more teams in the loop. Just not sure where the kids will come from. Consdiering the level of play from the Panthers & Rangers lets hope they don't add just for the sake of adding. Better to merge with the MHL.

This chat has been quiet so figure send out some observations.

Eagles back to first in Ontario. Only 1 regular season loss all season. Can one of Sharks and Avs take them down in the finals?

Impressed with Avs firepower and goaltending. D will get the better of them in a playoff series IMO. Can't beat Sharks for whatever reason which is strange as I think they're the better of the two teams.

Sharks same as always, but can't get over the hump and take down the Eagles. Fast group of kids.

WM & Attack - carbon copy's of one another. Will be a good 4 vs 5 playoff series.

Panthers - joke team, joke coaches, joke organization.

Rangers - the one goaltender may be the best in the division. Makes sense given that he see's 50+ shots a game.

Yea that poor rangers goal tender. I think rangers could improve. Decent organization. Panthers are a totally different story.

So sick of TE talk.
Avs are sooooo hot right now
The only team in the loop that can pull off an Eagles upset come playoffs.

Avs took 3-1 lead only to see the Eagles come back to tie it at 3 heading into the 3rd. Avs took advantage of a lucky bounce for the game winner with 5 to go. Things got super rough at the end. Suspensions on both sides. Nasty hit at the buzzer. Great rivalry.

Unlikely. In the OHF announcement on open borders they said no new teams.

Pause on addition of Representative Teams for U10 age group and above
The OHF is implementing a temporary hold on the addition of Rep teams at U10 age group and above by Associations and OHF Members. This hold will allow for a thorough review and adjustment of the number of teams at each age group and Category.
Too bad. We need more than 7 teams. At the very least lets hope VR & VP improve their roster.

I’ve heard that behind the scenes the G has told the OHF to go pound sand and that there’s a move to add teams and also strongly consider teams that have applied from Brampton, Oakville etc. The fact is is that why would families from Brampton, Oakville, Richmond Hill etc travel to Owen Sound of all places to have their kids play a game when now they can simply travel within the GTA. This should have happened years ago but now this is going to create a mess for a few years until things settle out.
