Bad coach this year maybe but the new owner of the entire org AH taking over the u16’s next season. Also a paid scout for 2 Ohlendorf teams so regardless of their record this year it’s the only team I know of where we can come in and play massive minutes for a paid scout!!!Guest wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 1:58 pmMy opinion is more value getting more ice. Not being concerned with how many wins a team gets is fine, but just ensure you do your homework and that your son is still getting good development.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 1:52 pmApparently NYR are only asking 5-6kids back and looking for a starting (80%) goalie, top min D and Fwds obv. I think I know the answer but then I question what value it is to have a 3rd/4th liner on a top team if he doesn’t see the ice?Guest wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 10:21 amMost teams will be making changes for the U16 year. This current season there is a bottom team where I wouldn't want my kid if it was his only AAA option, I'd probably rather him play AA. But there is another bottom team, where if that was his option I'd be more than OK. Good coaching, good environment just not a lot of wins. Long way of saying do your homework extensively.

New owner? no new owner. Who is taking over U16 next year AH or MH? either way I'm not sure it's a great spot.
Re: 2010 GTHL AAA
Reps coach told the organization hes not coming back next year. His replacement is unknown. Could be a great landing spot for top team cuts as they are a mid pack team.
Need to know who the HC will be though to make it worth your while.

Re: 2010 GTHL AAA
Last year’s U16 NYR team had almost every single kid drafted, except for one or 2. They were a solid team. Now, check how all of those players are doing. Ice time makes you better, not just wins.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 1:52 pmApparently NYR are only asking 5-6kids back and looking for a starting (80%) goalie, top min D and Fwds obv. Re: 2010 GTHL AAA
This year was the first season AH had full ownership vs just the jr A team. He’s not happy with last place and bringing in new coaching. He’s a legit ohl scout and making calls. Will they finish first, no chance but….If you want tons of ice time, no parent $$ influence, and to play for a ohl scout who also has a jrA team…NYR has it. My kid is on a playoff bound team and we may move but not doing anything until our season is over.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 2:30 pmThey sound tough!
