And neither have zero impact on how far you go in hockey at this stage of growth and development! It is nothing more than having some fun playing exhibition games. Real hockey starts at 18/19 and 99% of these teams will simple not be relevant .Guest wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 9:52 amMore like classic example of a ‘win at all costs now’ recruitment program versus a ‘long term approach’ development program. So you’re saying that none of this development matters? so ignorant! The physical and mental foundational growth of an athlete starts developing at a young age.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 10:03 amAnd neither have zero impact on how far you go in hockey at this stage of growth and development! When you take on the world it begins at 18/19!

You’ve done $hit! Yes, it starts to matter at 18, but you better be ready for it. Every athlete is on their own path that is heavily influenced by biological maturation. If you are 6’2 now or 5’5 it does not matter. What matters is two fold - 1- having the genetic composition to be elite 2. Having the drive / grit to persevere daily ! Lots of people show up, not many can grind it out and are comfortable with pain day in day out.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 11:40 amYou’ve done $hit! Honestly, I can tell you from experience, it is easy to see which current top kids are missing the daily grit and pain ability. Going far becomes an impossibility if you don’t have this!
Re: 2011 AAA
The 2011 age group in Canada and US is very strong. There doesn’t appear to be any true phenoms but there are a lot of real good high end kids that will go on to play at higher levels. It will be a deep draft with this age group. Kingston rink was full of scouts at the U14 OHL cup.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 12:09 pmEvery athlete is on their own path that is heavily influenced by biological maturation. Re: 2011 AAA
You are too funny....it is waaaaay to early to tell who is "strong" and who is not "strong". You are simple seeing who is Mature and not matuer right now....go simple dont have the background to tell the difference. RE : scouts - that is just a bunch of amateurs running around trying to sign anyone and everyone in hopes that something sticks....they have no other skills to make money in the real world!Guest wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 12:47 pmThe 2011 age group in Canada and US is very strong. Re: 2011 AAA
Can we start a 2011 AAA prematurity page. You people are boring. We know who is posting we see your kids at the rink. We know your jealous and just want to cut down the kids who grew early. Shut up.
The hockey in Kingston was excellent. I watched it, I wish my kid was good enough. Inspired me to help him get there even more. Whether you make it or not playing and attempting to succeed at the highest level is what everyone should be doing. Go back to your holes prematurity parents. We are sick of your posts. 2011 is an excellent age and is the next 2006.
