If that is true, look at the four teams above them in the standings; they must suck as well. They only have a couple more wins or ties more, not a big gap there. Curious where all you dummies think the good players are exactly? Top two teams have some talent the rest is spread out throughout the league that the talent pool it's not overly deep.
5 wins in 19 games means your team needs a complete rebuild whether you want to believe it or not
The game will change over the next few years no doubt but let me remind you that just because your kid is big and strong now doesn’t mean the rest won’t be catching up and even surpassing. Early developers are the first to stop growing. Your meat heads have an advantage now because they’re stronger but I’d put my money on small and quick with great iq + good size parents rather than the ones who grow first. They’re 12. Long road ahead.
Ok, where are the teams getting these rebuild players from? the teams above only have 6, 7, and 8 wins in 19-20 games so using your logic how do these teams rebuild? Where is the talent coming from? Dude you make no sense, there is no more players in the talent pool that can make a drastic change in standings. That is why it is crucial for success when you have good players on the roster you better make damn sure you keep them happy and playing or else they look elsewhere.
From players that hit puberty? It is what it is till now, nothing really matters for at least another year. We don’t know shit about what is what yet.
Bingo! Lots of changes coming. Puberty, growing, smarts. Lots of coaching changes, kids moving teams. It’s going to make rankings more competitive.
??? Who cares next year. Kids perform differently game to game. This is development time some crazy parents and coaches need to get a grip. No sense of reality there is crazy stuff going on in the real world. Focus on the kids and helping them get better everyday.

Puberty doesn't make them better hockey players it may make them stronger but not smarter, not better skating, in fact slower if they don't stay on top of training, they need to make all kinds of athletic adjustments when growing some benefit but not in large numbers and in two years you will see that I am right.

I heard that most of the kids in this age group were on puberty blockers, I wonder how that’s gonna affect their game?

Actually, he's on goal scoring blockers, but they don’t seem to be working!

Halfway through the season.

Who is making the playoffs? This has been a fun year to watch, the mid pack fight has been great to see. Still not clear who is going to make playoffs. Redwings have a tough stretch, Sens and Nats have a lot of ground to cover, TT on a knifes edge. It will be an interesting finish.

TT is going to fall off a cliff, Nats will win more than they lose moving forward despite their D problems. RedWings only have one line so it depends on how they perform but not much depth at all to help and I suspect the Sens will surprise some teams despite not being able to score much. Overall I think all those teams lose 6 players each and some of their best players go to top teams next year.

You will need roughly 14 wins to make playoffs, 28-33
