Guest wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 7:49 am I hear there is a big skate tomorrow night, do you know what team where and what time? People are being quite about it, not sure why.
TYN
Why would TYN have a big skate? I thought their team was setup until U16? They do need start competing with a full roster of 9 F's and 6 D's. Not sure if there is any truth to #8 going to TM and #52 to TRW's. I could see them looking to get bigger on D.
Some players have been with the same teams for a while and should be looking for new opportunities in terms ice time. A team like TYN will always play their top 3 or 4 forwards and 2 D most of the time. #8 is no longer the big dog on that team and players like #10, #13, #18, and #52 should be trying to make their marks with new clubs.

Huge regression for #10. 13 is too small and 18 is second pairing on a mid pack.
TYN need to get some size especially if they are losing KL

Any truth to RF from Soo coming to TYN?
RF told us at the JRC Cup they want to go TYN so it’s possible

TM parent said the relationship is so bad between coaches and parents that they aren’t doing a third tournament this year. I feel for those kids who have to miss out because the cheezies are greedy and can’t manage a team. The coaches charged $9000 this year and the kids only get two tournaments, the rest goes into AM’s pocket.

$9k per season for TM means only

DMF
TRW
NYR
JRC
REPS

are more expensive.

MM at 6500 and TYN at 7500 are the cheapest to play for everyone else between 8 and 10k

The coaching at this age group is one of the weakest in u16-u10. If you look at other age groups they have two highly qualified guys on the bench, at this age group we have dads, uncles, some fat assistant coach that can barely skate etc. I see the practices and extras that older teams do and it is night and day the quality difference.

Clueless dads, uncles, abusive pot heads…that’s the TM staff you’re talking about
