Of course. Why all your so called “cuts” went AA and AAA and you could add new kids almost exclusively from A? Im sure that some kids in A are good and will easily adjust to AA, but still

No one went on to play AAA or a higher calibre of hockey as you claimed.

Never easy to cut a kid. At the right level your kid will succeed too.

Out of 6 kids that left the team 2 went aaa and 4went aa to teams that either finished higher last year of will finish higher next season. Only 1 was struggling to find a team initially because he was cut last minute.
If you can’t keep best players for 2 straight seasons, have no strong kids who want to work with you, it means people don’t like how you coach. Enjoy building your authority among last years A kids from omha

Cant see 2 kids from ST going AAA and 4 going to stronger AA teams. They were the worst mississauga team in the G.

ST made some major improvements. They’ll be top 4 guaranteed. Picked up some phenomenal talent.

Haha right. Imagine your select kid finally cracks a AA team and you stumble across this chat about their new team. This parent is just defending the dream they were sold for $8000. The A dream. In AA. My advice. Delete this site from your devices before it’s too late. .

The main problem of ST coaches is a lack of self-confidence. They constantly seek confirmation that the kids respect them and recognize their authority. As a result, they subconsciously prefer to gather a team of low-profile players and get uneasy around strong individual personalities. It’s easier for them to stay at the bottom of the standings with average-level players who are afraid of being cut from the team than to try and build a strong team of independent, confident individuals.
When a player leaves for another team, they take it as a personal insult and try to get back at them. It’s so hard for them to accept that they still can’t admit that some kids left this year for AAA or strong AA teams. That’s where the performance issues come from — the coaches don’t believe in themselves.
When the team is winning, they put too much pressure on the kids, which causes them to tighten up and start making mistakes. When the team is losing, the pressure gets even worse, and they can’t come back into the game. And yet, outside of hockey, they’re perfectly decent people. The are better than in many teams.
