Haters gonna hate when you’re at the top
RK is a good hockey player there is no denying that , jealousy is such a stinky cologne. He's a good kid too , if you have an issue with the dad then take it up with him in person not on here.

Kid bashing comes from small pecker people who need to compensate for little johnny duster who got cut and collects a different jersey every year from U10 - ASHL
Ok dad

Guest wrote: Thu Mar 13, 2025 10:18 am JRC – Strong at recruiting. The team is solid overall, though without any standout players. Coaching is competent, but parental involvement is questionable.

TT – An intriguing team. Belissimo has proven to be a strong Jr. A coach, but it's unclear whether his style translates well to this age group. The team is bringing in multiple players from NYR, though they are mostly marginal talent, as NYR was previously carried by Kitchen. The biggest concern is the influence of Eric Cella, whose involvement often leads to dysfunction. For example, he severely damaged the reputation of Eric Lindros - despite Lindros being widely praised at every age group he has coached, with people consistently speaking highly of his coaching and the way he treats kids.

TM – Massimo L and Guido L are widely regarded as problematic in minor hockey. With no real profession outside their minor hockey "empire," they berate both players and parents and engage in gossip. Their approach does not focus on developing players or fostering a positive environment. Notably, no alumni or former associates have anything positive to say about them.

TYN – The team includes one of the weakest skaters in the AAA GTHL loop (the coach’s son). Players are taught a highly physical style of play, and the parents are known for being difficult.

DMF – Originally supposed to be coached by JE but taken over by RE. The coach’s son is on the roster despite being more suited for AA. The team is largely carried by SR, who is at risk of leaving for TM due to a Brick free ride. Without SR, the team is at best mid-tier.

VK – A perennial bottom-tier organization, heavily influenced by the local "Woodbridge" culture.

Reps – The head coach is honest and well-respected, but recruiting remains a challenge due to interference from Jari/Sk8on, who impose certain players on the roster. This will likely set the team back.

MR – Ammal Esmatyar has developed a poor reputation, largely due to his over-reliance on paid skates. He frequently tells parents, "I need to see your kid XX more times at my Ammal Showcase Tuesday skate before I can assess them," while simultaneously dismissing other players at his skates as "AA level". He prioritizes Fralick and his nephew, playing them every second shift. His ego is notoriously large. Buyer beware.

SENS – The organization has some strong connections to the Marlies at the board level. However, poor recruiting and an influx of AA-level players have resulted in a weak team. Coach is known to be a good personal overall.

REBELS – A "friends and family" program. The Lomanacos are marginal coaches whose primary focus appears to be promoting their own daughter rather than developing the team.

NYR – Undergoing a complete rebuild. While AK receives a lot of criticism as a person, he is generally a decent coach and works well with kids. The team required restructuring due to problematic parents. They lost a key player, Kitchen, to Brick/TM. The Henrich affiliation is questionable.

TRW – Undergoing a full rebuild with Ajax OMHA players. The organization is known to be financially flexible for the right buyers. JV operates at a similar level to Esmatyar, using "fake skates" primarily as a cash grab.
The funniest part of this post is calling Kitchen a key player. He on a 5th place team and vanishes against any of the top teams and more to the point the underage kid on the team is better than him. Good luck Brick/TM if this is true.
Kitchen
A few things to clarify:

1. Kitchen is a stud. Fact.
2. Ammal Esmatyar is a du mb firefighter. Should not be around kids. Easily the worst coach in the G and favours his kid and Fralick. Fact.
3. TT will be a top 2 team, crazy parents or not. Fact.
4. The rest above is largely correct.
Serious question....Is Kitchen the kid whose dad is the little midget with the man-bun?
Kitchen’s dad gets more pu s sy than you, that’s for sure.

Is anyone a good
Coach in the G???

If you just committed then your coach is good right???

No clue now ! They all get slandered so badly on here it’s hard to sift through the crazy.

Coaches only get grilled from parents who's kids are not good enough and don't realize it yet. Those kids usually all end up on the same team by u12 anyways
They all have their pros and cons. Do what’s best for your kid.

JRC – Decent guy, parent coach to an underager, can and will always recruit well. Top-end kids will thrive in this environment.

DMF – Coach is a yeller, not for everyone but gets a lot out of his team. The team runs through one player. Good opportunity for others if leaving for the free TM/TBD Brick ride.

TM – Mixed reviews—you either love him or hate him. He’ll do everything in his power to win. Bottom players will not like this environment. Uncle coach and parent coach. Mostly relies on small-area skill drills.

TYN – decent guy, good program. Parent coach to a weaker player, which shouldn’t sit right with parents. One of the weaker coaches in U11. Will be replaced by U12.

NYR – Lacks in X’s and O’s but will push your player more than most in terms of individual skill development. Complete rebuild, but not a bad thing since that parent group was nuts.

VK – Dysfunctional group, will be replaced by DDM at the end of the season. Buyer beware.

RHC – Great guy and the best coach in training. Early in his professional development, but sometimes lacks the stones to make tough decisions independently.

MR – Yeller. 3/4 of the coaches are parents. Best in the U11 group in terms of X’s and O’s, but the program is geared more towards U16 and stifles creativity. Not the right environment for everyone.

MS – Nice guy, but the team will remain a bottom-end team due to an unwillingness to make hard decisions and doubling down on AA-caliber players.

TT – Great new coach, knows his stuff, but NYR crazies coming in could cause problems right away.

TRW – OMHA rebuild, which is a good thing. Cheap version of MR’s coaching style.
One of the most accurate posts based on whats going on around the G...only thing to add is these kids are 9/10 all of this will change and change again as they get older...relax, find a good coach who isn't taking all your money and who is willing to actually teach your kid about hockey and focus on the foundations. Keep it fun crazies :)

DDM taking VK? Is this the DDM from the 2014 nats?
