That isn't my point.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 1:53 pmTeam chemistry and if it’s working why break it. Do you really want so much turnover and cycling through so many bad parents and kids? Without naming any teams there are some teams considered top teams but the parents are gone wild. Some of these teams are adding even more wild parents to the mix. That has never really been how it works in hockey.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 11:58 am Seems a lot of rosters set now. Few of the bottom teams will get some interests with last min kids being told they will not make the team. Heard VK stayed loyal and kept all but 1 kid. Good on them for longer term development. What’s the deal with TM ? How many Raiders Black going? The coach may not be very experienced but is a likeable guy, good with players, calm and knows what he’s doing and has the right approach in developing players. Does anyone know who’s on DMF? Where are their best players coming from?
my point is that typically the point of AAA / AA / A is that kids get filtered into the levels they should be in based on skill. What are the odds that all of the roster is good enough to play AAA hockey?
So, yeah, continuity from one year to the next is great - but odds are there will need to be changes each year to a roster based on kids development curves. So, like I said in my first post, I wouldn't call that loyalty, because that would imply that almost every other team isn't "loyal".
however, if that's what they think is the best way to "win" all the power to them.
