Very weak commentary- yet another disgruntled parent watching their son "Billy" from the stands playing "AA". Hopes and dream of walking into Pro Hockey Life with your son wearing that coveted "AAA" , now... shattered! Have Fun....

shout out to that a$s clown dad saunaier or whatever his name is. comments on an nyhl post his kid was too elite for the nyhl. that kid is on the ice 10 hours a week and he licks lamacchias peanuts and still not even in brick contention. he doesn’t score and too small so gets pushed off the puck. and his kid is TOO GOOD for the nyhl. gtfoh

If your kid can't tie his own skates, I'd be less worried about what the coaches plan is and more about how to be a dadGuest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 12:15 amShocking.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 1:50 pm100% agree with this post…that being said a portion of a budget is often used to cover sessions with a skills coach/skating coach that works on continuous individual improvement (from my experience anyways).Guest wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 1:31 pmThere is no reason why people should be paying $10k for hockey. What are you people talking about these days??Guest wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 10:04 pmSo for $10k a year, you get no skills development? Parents are really expected to spend another $10k on skills?Guest wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 9:49 pm
You need to understand no team coach will do skills. They expect parents do extra for skill. Coachs won't develop skills, They just replace players with better skills
Kids should be focused on learning how to play hockey, not learning how to shoot, or skate, etc. (Or at least it should be a small percentage of the time spent on ice).
A perfect practice in my mind:
10% warm up / cool down
20% skills
70% Hockey systems, plays, positioning, video review, white boarding, etc.
If you need to get better at skating, spend your summer skating. If you need a better shot, get in your drive way and shoot pucks, if you need better stick handling, go get a private lesson with a coach.
If you are on my team, our practices are about making the TEAM better.
These are little kids we're talking about.
Skating and skills are key.
Warm up? Cool down?
Video review? Systems?
Seriously!?
Most of the kids can't tie their own skates yet.
Your team may win some games but in term of long term development, your kids will fall behind 100%.
Re: 2016 AAA
Shame on you for talking about a child like that. Naming the kid and making explicit remarks. Do not attack kids, pathetic cowards.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 12:56 pm shout out to that a$s clown dad saunaier or whatever his name is. comments on an nyhl post his kid was too elite for the nyhl. that kid is on the ice 10 hours a week and he licks lamacchias peanuts and still not even in brick contention. he doesn’t score and too small so gets pushed off the puck. and his kid is TOO GOOD for the nyhl. gtfoh

At what age are kids supposed to tie their own skates?Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 12:59 pmIf your kid can't tie his own skates, I'd be less worried about what the coaches plan is and more about how to be a dadGuest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 12:15 amShocking.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 1:50 pm100% agree with this post…that being said a portion of a budget is often used to cover sessions with a skills coach/skating coach that works on continuous individual improvement (from my experience anyways).Guest wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 1:31 pmThere is no reason why people should be paying $10k for hockey. I think every team is going to have a coach with a s. n on the team. If your opinion is that the kid is not ready, thats your opinion. You don't know how much a kids ability can change in a summer. Especially at age 9.

Sounds like your hopes and dreams bud and it is kinda sad. Real commentary from someone on the team is that Asian bud with the camera is the new manager. Did your kid come to our team on bud's train and make your dreams come true? Now you can finally look down on others for the first time in your life watching your kid walk into Pro Hockey with his aaa jacket while you drink your food court coffee crying tears of finally making it in this life that has pounded you into nothing. At least until next season when you'll be watching your little billy playing aa with the rest of the poor aa souls.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 9:43 amVery weak commentary- yet another disgruntled parent watching their son "Billy" from the stands playing "AA".
