They don’t take the best current players they take the best players from 2 years ago…. It will all be sorted out after the full G season when they figure out which kids are good now.

Why is there such a gap in the level of play between the Toronto teams and the others in this tournament?

I might not know too much about hockey but I do know one thing. The biggest job a coach has is recruiting players. You can be the best coach in the world but if you don't have the players to coach then your coaching tools are useless. This is AAA. We are out of toddler hockey. The onus is now on the parent/player to develop skills and the coach needs to apply those skills in team structure. In minor hockey from u10-u16, recruiting is 75% of coaching.

At least now we all know how bad this team really is, even after all the practices they’ve had. Not surprised by the results. AD just realized that AAA isn’t NYHL.
Congrats, Young Nats — you’ve got the worst AAA coach. Good luck this season!
