So what happens now, do we have a town hall meeting where we tell the association publicly all of the ways they have negatively affected our families? Or is there like a spokesperson that will read off letters for us? Do we leave our coaches jackets in the lobby of ACC? Just curious how this works.
Go play in the G… so much better
I will tell you how this works .. we get our teams motivated in the back half of this year to win championships. We win championships, coupled with our excellent coaches, there will be more than enough demand for our association in 25/26
Dude, give it a rest. We get it, you are involved heavily with the association and are blind to see the reality of the situation. You gotta take a step back and understand why you association is losing/going to lose players and why you are not as successful as you think you are.
A good association starts right at the top with the president, setting the tone and finding and developing good people around them which will trickle down to your convenors and coaches.
I don't really care about win/loss records. It's all about creating an atmosphere where everyone (players and parents) wants to come to the rink. It's all about developing players and being competitive.
Exactly. And to your point, this year our association will be presenting our president with the ontario minor hockey president of the year award, as voted by the amha exec. We only had one member vote against, and as a show of our unity and inclusivity we will force their child to play house league next year.
Lmfao that’s like the year you gave MM coach of the year. No parents voted on it.
As for our president.. I hear he’s looking for a town to merge with.

You can tell that nmha is scared:
"While there are no restrictions on the number of ‘non-resident’ players under this new policy, the NMHA wholeheartedly believes in the concept of ‘Hometown Hockey,’ and feel we have a responsibility to our local players and membership, while also considering all options to maintain a thriving and competitive rep program at all levels."
At least they have addressed it, Aurora is just sticking their head in the sand and hope it goes away.. bunch of idiots. Honestly NMHA shouldn’t be scared, don’t know too many people complaining.
THEY JUST DON'T CARE.
They should.. maybe they’ll care when their registration goes down.
Aurora is ready for open borders and will be a destination for the top hockey players in the GTA. Our high end coaches are the envy of the OMHA, and our executive are ready with groundbreaking strategies to make this THE top centre for the next generation of elite hockey players and their families.
This is a joke right? AMHA is doomed. Teams already don’t have coaches applying for next year. Everyone is leaving.
Yikes, nice work around data above. Is Aurora moving into a BB/B centre? Basically, surviving on kids dropping from AA/A to win games/tournaments? This is not development and very much 'cheats' the system.
Yes, BB is the highest form of competitive hockey that any child should be playing. Kids who are able to play at a super high level of any sport should really be asking their parents to look in the mirror. That’s like telling your child you have the expectation they will go to university and become something like a lawyer, a doctor or god forbid a business owner. We need to show our players it’s ok to be a B player, and to enjoy a simple happy life. This is the way. Too much ice time and excessive coaching in hockey is toxic.
ahahahahahahaahaha definitely sounds like a B parent. this troll is entertaining as hell.
I think your sarcasm meter is broken.
Please look for our fearless leaders out in the arenas this weekend. Our jackets now say “Aurora is the place to B”.

Which association ? It would make most sense for association to just fold surrender ice time to NMHA. There isn’t anything of value that the association does.

AMHA is one of the strongest associations around .. several will fold before them.

Maybe. But within like 48 hours of the others. No one is staying.

coaching is everything. If they can find good coaches people will stay.
Coaching and Championships ..
The conversations around the rink this weekend were pretty common about who is "for sure" staying and who is "for sure" leaving. Should be lots of drama to finish this season. Keep it classy parents.
