YM Coach was the NT CDS Tier 3 team - wasn’t much difference from Tier 2/3 at NT… just that NT can only have so many A teams lol.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 10:55 pmOh goodness, don't wait until May 3rd, there won't be any spots left by that time. Especially if you are looking for 3 spots. I would suggest reaching out to the NT green team again. Agree with the YM comment above, stay away. Its actually the asst coach, he's venom, nobody will take his boys on their team. Head coach is a good guy, from what I recall from NTCDS.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 4:31 pmTryouts for A start May 3. I would say they are above average players. Does anyone know of any teams in the East that we can contact. We have been told the NT single A teams won't be able to take on all three players. I've read that perhaps Markham might be a good starting point. I've looked around some of the websites and they don't seem to have coaches names. We are new to this so any help would be appreciated.

Wouldn't waste your time with Aeros or York Mill. we were told that Aeros players development is not as strong and York Mills has a parent coach that everyone recommends to avoid.
We've reached out to NYK but haven't heard back yet.

Markham Islanders beat Ted Reeve 5-2 tonight! Playoffs are a different animal altogether...

Re: GTHL 2015 "A"
Yup the round robin style of playoff definitely can make it interesting.
Re: GTHL 2015 "A"
It's a fun format, especially for the lower teams because we can still play competitive games and you never know what can happen...
Re: GTHL 2015 "A"
My older son is with a higher ranked team and our team hates this format! But I gotta admit, being with a lower ranked U10A team going in to playoffs I like it. Happy to play a few more games and who knows, maybe we’ll impact the playoffs outcome a tiny bit!Guest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 1:21 pm It's a fun format, especially for the lower teams because we can still play competitive games and you never know what can happen...

The Attack “A” team is going AA next year. Will the west get another team as a result? How good could The Attack be?
Re: GTHL 2015 "A"
The organization would probably apply for an A team also. We play in the east and have no idea who the attack are but I’m sure they are good enough to convince the GTHL that they can be competitive at AAGuest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 9:05 pm The Attack “A” team is going AA next year.
