Perhaps Oakville will have an ELITE ( Ranger Reps team), at every age and level and that team play in the GTHL as well an OMHA AAA, AA, A for the original Rangers team.

Only thing that matters is a better product. Now that they’ve opened up the market their teams will largely depend on the quality of product. Coaching, discipline, development, ethical organizations.

It will all come down to coaching. Coaching will be everything

Right, where are the good coaches that actually coach instead of chirp, yell, amd knock kids down.

It's already started. W.O.A.A sent out messages saying they will continue to region lock Local League and will be locking down rep as well forcing all orgs to not allow imports.

Good on them. How will it work playing top GTHL teams as part of the regular schedule?
Sounds like an organizing that is taking a proactive approach and is accepting change. Good on Oakville!
Could not agree more. Well played Oakville. everyone else needs to catch up to you now
Poster children for new age hockey. Way to go Oakville. They are officially the leader.
Let’s keep track of how many organizations continue to limit movement and how many do what’s right for the kids
I can see Burlington, Milton, Missisauga top kids moving to Oakville only for the reason to stay local and be part of elite team that will
Play in the G.
Not Hamilton Kids?

Its actually an easier drive to Oakville for South West end Mississauga to get to based on rinks Gthl makes us them use. Wont just be AAA kids trying out there look for AA and A as well.

Oakville had to come out fast because they know lot of their families will want to go to the G now. Less commute to games and have teams in Mississauga to choose from
[/quote]
Oakville will have to rebrand as the Golden Horseshoe Rangers!

People in Oakville want out and people out of Oakville want in. Be interesting to see who is right. But if the top 3 or 4 kids are leaving it might tell you something.

Open borders are going to make tryouts almost redundant. Teams going to be picked well before.
