lol and my kid and his team would wipe the floor with all of them…
The G doesn't necessarily have better coaches but people will move over for something shiny. OHF will have it cuboards bare this year as people will move and they don't run/recruit the way the G does.
I’d happily go anywhere that has a non-parent coach.
💯! More Associations.need to find GOOD non parent coaches, one of the biggest problems in minor hockey, Parent coaches who pick their friends and not the best team, IMO, if you a parent coach, the association should be part of assessing players and choosing teams!
Aside from picking their friends, they become obsessed with the gamesheet stats and manipulate players to benefit who they want to look better.
Experiencing this first hand. The coach is intentionally putting my kid with the worst players all year. His kid has played with the best player all year and whoever is hot at the time.

Can’t coach forever. The kid will be exposed once he plays with other players

You mean the kid will be exposed when he plays with real talent without daddy's manipulation.

What are the rules going to be for U9 OMHA players who want to play U10 in the GTHL? The rules before open borders were you can play on your home centre's AAA team only as a U9 for U10, with open borders will the U9's be permitted to play anywhere they want at the U10 level or still be forced only to play on their home town team as an underager?

Thanks

Unfortunately losing many others in the process.

Slow clap for the Barrie jr colts executive committee!
Just completely blew up a u10 age group that would have been top 10 in the province.
Good work!!!

AAA is open, but I can't see a lot of parents driving over an hour for practices and games. It is not worth it.
Anyone driving over an hour to play hockey needs some serious help.
For some of us it is driving an hour in a different direction, or in this case, going further but on much better roads where in bad weather it will actually be a quicker drive.

Just saying, when youngers played in GTHL, it could take well over an hour for all the Scarborough kids to get to North Mississauga for practices and games. Traffic's a beeeeoch.

Yup 2 Mississauga teams have to play in Downsview tonight for a game with rush hour and rain will probably take 1 to 1/2 hrs to go 30kms.
