RW controlled most of the first period. Score wasn’t fair. We’ll see you guys again in the playoffs.

“Not fair” boohoo…not fair is your kid having a delusional father ..score doesn’t show control of any period of the game. Tell your “best coach in the loop” to stop giving his brick kid the easy starts
Re: Red wings!
Odd comment because this isn't the case at all. Many of the super teams I see have parents with very good jobs who have the means to move the kids or get their kids to that level. Sorry you're so bothered by that. The moms also look pretty good in many cases.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 8:49 amLets face it, these super teams are a result of burn out Dads who didnt achieve what they wanted to in hockey (if they even played), are now in dead end jobs they hate, and are married to fat wived (who are getting fatter) that they hate more than their jobs. Prove me wrong.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 12:04 pmThen they should be finding better teams to play. That's what MHR is for.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 11:47 amIt’s actually really hindering the players. Good competition should be the foundation of development, unfortunately it’s second to winning games 20-0 . HC really needs to figure it out before we fall too far behindGuest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 11:41 amThis seems to be happening everywhere as far as superteams go. People moving young kids to play on a team with the fabulous players of the moment and they beat every team by 5-10 goals. Look at the US as well. The thing is that development doesn't necessarily happen in the games you play. Development happens at the practices you have during the week and if you're practicing with good kids that helps. Do I think the talent should be more evenly distributed? Yes, but having good kids to practice with and do 3X3 with during the week is also important. People put way too much stock into weekend games that last 45 minutes.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 8:35 amI agree. Lopsided games have been the biggest draw back of the GTHL at this age group for years. GTHL does not care. You want your kid to win every game by 4 or more goals? What does that teach them about reality? First time they loose or are in a close game and they have not developed any compete level. TM in Silver Stick sound familiar. TM in playoffs last year ring a bell? They all turtled after they were down by 1-2 goals. May feel good as an insecure Dad watching little buddy score 2-3 goals a game., but you are not doing him any favours. Will backfire in the long run. I have no idea why the third liners are on these power teams. No game puck touches, knowing you are the worst on the team, whats the point?Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 7:57 am
Exactly!!!
There are great players on many teams in this league who are developing at a higher rate than players on super teams getting minimal puck touches and no meaningful minutes when it’s crunch time.
