Buying your way on a team will have very little impact. At most maybe 2 such players would be offered spots where they are totally not meant to be there.

Not sure. I was at other skates and they were not good (compared to what I was expecting.) but half the city seems to be sick and all three of kids teams were missing 3-4 players each this weekend. I dont think this was a good weekend for any skates for any team.
