Depending on the kid, he would be going to the bottom of the list for next year. I would rather have someone there that I could work with, rather then someone who isn't.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 1:20 pmWe're doing the same. Best to talk to the coach. Some might be unimpressed but get over it, others will put your kid on the cut list.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 12:17 pm My family and I are looking to take a 2 week vacation at the end of January. How would most coaches feel about this.

If a kid is scoring over a goal a game in AA should they go and play AAA?Guest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 1:33 pmBest to talk to the coach. Yes, that exactky the criteria. More like average 3 good goals game. Go find a spot, why you asking us?Guest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 2:30 pmIf a kid is scoring over a goal a game in AA should they go and play AAA?Guest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 1:33 pmBest to talk to the coach. Save yourself the disappointment, goal a game in AA means 5 total goals in AAA against TRWGuest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 2:52 pmYes, that exactky the criteria. More like average 3 good goals game. Re: 2015 AA
At this age as long as your kid is an upper mid or better in AA they can go to AAA. All this bullshit talk about AAA being so much better is all crap. These kids can scale up, AA is a slower game but throw the kids in the AAA and they’ll probably survive. Coaches want hard working coachable kids. AAA competition is higher don’t expect miracles those kids work hard to stay. Top 6 AA teams have many kids with potential to grow and become good AAA players.

Sometimes a kid may get exhausted because he gets tired at school, different extracurriculars, hockey practices and games. In that case a week or two off before play offs will be beneficial for everyone. Sometimes it’s a unique opportunity to go to Yukon or Brazil and after that the kid may make a development jump. Every case is individual.

There is one key to knowing if your child is ready for the next level.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 3:27 pmSave yourself the disappointment, goal a game in AA means 5 total goals in AAA against TRWGuest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 2:52 pmYes, that exactky the criteria. If coaches from the next level are calling and OFFERING a spot your child is ready for the next level.
If you have to call every coach in the league and attend every skate and are not getting an offer and being told to wait until tryouts than your child is not ready yet.
Simple

Just because coaches aren’t calling you doesn’t necessarily mean your kid can’t make it. But if you reach out to one or two coaches and go to their skates you should know pretty quick whether your kids ready or not and so will coaches.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 4:57 pmThis.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 4:53 pmThere is one key to knowing if your child is ready for the next level.
