2009 GTHL AA West
Re: 2009 GTHL AA West
Team hopping in hockey is like job hopping, if your kid is bouncing from team to team every year, it raises eyebrows. Coaches and organizations notice, and it’s usually not a good look. Sometimes the problem isn’t the teams… just my two cents. Stability matters, and constant switching sends a message, whether you mean to or not.

ADs bounced every season for 5 seasons now on VP is that who you’re referring to ?Guest wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 2:20 pmGuest wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 2:14 pmMaybe a goalie from West AA can go to U18 AAA there is no AA players on any team at U16 going to U18 AAA next season NONE . Have any of you actually watched U18 AAA ? It’s not that impressive and definitely is a let down compared to the U16 AAA games . It’s great hockey but not what you’re all thinking ! Now what’s U17 AA doing next year who has a team is MB in for next season or is Rattlers ? DD ? Only so many teams at U17 AA and they play in U18 AAA tournaments believe me it’s totally different then what your seeing now . Fighting night on the regular season. This talk about AAA with your kids is over 95% of the AAA players it’s over Reality Check VP VR and whoever else !Guest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 8:16 pmGuest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 8:02 pmGuest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 5:10 pm1 maybe 2 could move, if he takes more they will take a beating at u18AAAGuest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 4:48 pm
He has favourites he’s taking. You gotta be on his good side or he’ll cut you, he’ll just send you an email and you’re gone. Survival of the fittest. He doesn’t like your kids game or if your kid is wimpy, you are GONE!
Which AAA team is he taking
If you don’t know, you are not invited, he’s only looking for the best of the best, cream of the crop, top tier talent. No ex players.
If you’re still calling coaches at this age to complain about your kid’s ice time, you’re not helping, you’re hurting. Coaches aren’t impressed, and you’re giving them a pretty solid reason to cut your kid. By now, your kid should be handling their own issues with the coach. Let them grow, learn, and advocate for themselves, it’s hockey, not a parent teacher conference.

No one in this loop makes AAA next year
Competition with U18AAA guys, U18 AA guys, U17 AA guys, U16 AAA guys and don't forget junior A cuts.
You have to get through 5 groupings of "better and more experienced" players first

So proud of my Italian brothers, sisters, teammates, coaches, trainers, and GM’s. We know how to stick together, and it really shows during the holidays. I won’t name our team, but we’re based in Vaughan and we have an absolute blast. Hockey, feasting, games, and good times, this crew is something special. Who wouldn’t want to be part of a community like this?

It’s great to hear that teams are sticking together. Building on the core group and fostering a positive environment is key. There will always be challenges like jealousy or complaints, but focusing on those who are committed and deserving helps the team grow stronger.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 11:02 am So proud of my Italian brothers, sisters, teammates, coaches, trainers, and GM’s.
