Spoken exactly how the parent of one of those kids for sure would be. Goals!! Scoring! Skills!

Try team, passing, etc
I don’t post often but felt the need to. This person here posting and talking crap about kids and their parents. Do you realize how pathetic you sound. You make it obvious that you have some grudge against OHP, and also stating Reps as a AA team and that some Stars players on and on. If somebody didn’t have such resentment they would not post this. How do you even know what a Reps team will look like and if they are AA who cares. How do you even know when they haven’t even played a single game. You should be ashamed of yourself. Did tour kid get cut or not make any of these teams? I’m sure someone knows who you are.

This guy hit the nail on the head. Call the OHP lady and get a list of all kids in your tryouts who didn’t make the Elite team. Call the Reps coach get a list of all players who didn’t get any verbal future offers. Now call all the Stars parents and ask them if any parents fighting with them. Cross reference the list and you may find your culprit. Pure jokes but this might be true.

Lets be honest, even the parents on the team would likely say the kids played selfishly for the most part. I agree it's part of being a "spring team" but, its pretty bad with this group. My constructive feedback is I hope the team takes this tournament result as an opportunity to reflect and play a more team oriented game.

They had way too much talent to lose so many games. They could be a powerhouse if they figure it out.

Guest wrote: Mon Jan 06, 2025 10:44 am Watching OHP 2016s, I've never seen such a talented but selfish team in my life. Who is coaching that shit show? When are they going to figure out they need to actually pass to play hockey at a high level. It was embarrassing watching them.

They have the best players off a bunch of teams, arguably one of the best goalies at the age group, and they looked like a house league team.
Looks like someone was waiting to take cheap shots. Highly doubt you watched any of the games. There was a lot more passing than you’d think. Sure there were 1-2 players trying to do a bit more then they should have when they should have been moving the puck around but the overall this team only lost by 1 to International Stars and scored 4 goals against them.
Sorry bud, everyone watches games at these tournaments, there has already been multiple people talking about it on this forum. Plus people at the arena all looking at each other every single time they get the puck. groaning at the terrible plays. Its not one or two kids, its more like the opposite, its one or two kids that pass. And both are on defense.

Also, the international star game would have been 10-3 if the goalie didn't stand on his head. People aren't dumb buddy. We see it with our own eyes, lots of people. My kid played your team on the Sunday.
Looks like your head was so far up your as* that although you wore a helmet which was way too tight your forgot the fishbowl. When you pulled it out your face covered in yourself and you couldn’t see straight. Go watch the games because clearly you didn’t. There was a lot of passing except maybe the last game.

All I’ve heard in the last 4 pages is how OHP lost 4-3 to the stars. You do realize any first game of tournaments are usually the toughest to get going. Hence traveling in for Detroit to Toronto and getting locked in. That team is next level. OHP you’re not next level you’re actually a lower level to be frank. 9 times out of 10 they would probably spank you guys MIN by 5-10 goals. Your team is too slow with some of those kids that eat too much pasta and cakes as well as the tier 2 kids that keep paying you big money to play games.

International Stars deserved to win. Traveling is their thing. Who knows maybe they sometimes struggle with their first game on day 2 of a tournament. Fair. Hmm but not sure. What is for sure is that a great sense of bitterness exudes from your need to comment on the size of children. How petty and rude is that. It's obvious you are gutted that your kid didn't make it somewhere ...yet. Grow up, d'accord?

Was OHP missing players They looked like a bunch of puck hogs and I recognized that D kid who tries to go around 5 opponents from own end instead of passing to his wide open teammates it’s hilarious.
Same goes for Everest they looked just as bad they must have been missing some key players.

You fool. Worry about yourself and your kid instead of commenting on other parents and their kids. You seem so upset it’s obvious that it’s only because you likely didn’t make the team. Hopefully your kid got to play somewhere. Check yourself in the mirror and learn some manners.
