The West continues to weaken, take all this for what it's worth, but the West has had 2-3 teams in the SS finals the past two seasons...only one this year. The East now has two teams in the finals and could have been three if two of them didn't both have to face off in Vaughan. Looking at MHR, the East has 4 teams in the top 20. The West are barely squeaking 2 teams in the top 30 (Ended last year with 4 in top 20 - top 22 to be exact). Depending on the outcome you're looking for, one of two things needs to happen. If you want the West to be better hockey with stronger teams, then 2-3 teams need to dissolve. If the goal is to tighten league play, then the Beast need to dissolve.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 2:21 pm Beast will still win West because the rest of the league is so weak, not because they are that strong. They control outcome according to how THEY play. GTC got close due to Beast mistakes, not GTC outplaying them. Same with Rattlers.
Only their own boredom will make them lose.
City championship is another matter… a few teams in the East can give them a run…

Re: 2013 AA West
Next year you will see more parity in the top 3-4 teams. No need to dissolve MB, they will be strong but others will catch up. Bottom 3-4 teams should dissolve but won’t due to $$$. With borders opening up you may get better players in Mississauga teams as they border OMHA and the drives may be less demanding. Mississauga teams will dominate next year due to thisGuest wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 8:39 amThe West continues to weaken, take all this for what it's worth, but the West has had 2-3 teams in the SS finals the past two seasons...only one this year. Re: 2013 AA West
I think quite the opposite. GTHL will get some kids from lower Oakville teams while the top Oakville teams will attract kids from Burlington, Milton and Mississauga.
Re: 2013 AA West
Agreed and the lower price of the OMHA along with less bullshit politics will drive players out of the G. The OMHA AA loop is a lot stronger according to MHRGuest wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 10:42 am I think quite the opposite. Re: 2013 AA West
Oakville tournament will be a good indicator for it. Top 4 in tri county would all give the Beast a run right now.

Omha is not superior to the GGuest wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 10:52 am Oakville tournament will be a good indicator for it. Top 4 in tri county would all give the Beast a run right now.
Yes they have some good players but not stand outs
The ones that are, are already in the g with fake addresses
Re: 2013 AA West
1 team- Oakville is the only team that can compete with the beast.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 10:52 am Oakville tournament will be a good indicator for it. Top 4 in tri county would all give the Beast a run right now.
Re: 2013 AA West
The AA Blue team is A$$. The AA Red Team is going to walk through everyone in their loop and march right into the OMHA's. They don't want anyone from the Blue team or anyone from Burlington, they don't have anyone good enough to join them,Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 10:42 am I think quite the opposite.
