There is no need to single out any kids as being undeserving at this point. Let that go. What would be more interesting would be to provide clarity on the process and who and how many independent scouts made the choices. Transparency is always a good thing.

WHEN YOU ADD THREE MYERS AND 2-3 OVTT PLAYERS THAT 100% SHOULD NOT BE THERE THAN there is an issue. Like everyone cries "DONT NAME NAMES" SO WE WONT. But we all know Prez, of Myers has a tonne of pull with HEO , and gets what he wants. Hence he has OVTT in pocket as well . It's a cycle that has never changed , and never will . These guys live in past , and have little clue who are the best OHL prospects , outside of the obvious guys. Cant wait till it's all over.

Myers was owed because they lost their two protests to block their Dman who bailed on their team for greener pastures.

Rumour has it HEO regional OHL scouts picked the teams. Actually wait that's not a rumour it's what happened. Get over it, some surprises but not really at the end of the day.

There's no way anyone is putting their names on this. And Heo isnt giving up control.

Cmon man, OHL scouts did not pick these teams.

Darrell Woodley is the Director of Central Scouting for the OHL. Blake Callahan is the OHL Central Scouting rep in HEO. Every OHL club has an HEO/Ottawa scout…it’s listed on their website and they are easily recognizable with the team jacket. It’s really that simple, not a secret. This information is available to everyone. Google is your friend.

They have a mandate to evaluate players, formulate lists (for their needs), and in the case of the Top Prospects event, identify players with the highest potential to play in the OHL. Angry posted this on Twitter.

There may be players not obvious to all, but they have something a group of these scouts value; skill set, size etc. They’ll fight for a player if there is something they want to see in a different team situation, especially good players not on a deep team. Every OHL team has a priority based on need. OVT has the top player in the league. How will he do against the top D?…also from OVT.

Any other questions, message Central or ask one of the scouts. They’re normal people who love the game.
