But that's why he's playing AAA...to learn to be shiftier and better. It's all a process. Hockey tends to have a more direct line in that the best at 9 do sometimes hold on to be the best at 18/19. More than in other sports. Him being a smaller player, his ceiling is likely that of a Caufield/Gaudreau/Kariya. Certainly nothing to sneeze at. As for floor...yeah a ton of guys dominate at u10 and end up in tier 3 Italy. Will be exciting to see where he and other players get to. I think we should celebrate where these players are right now for what it is and not get ahead of it with lofty expectations.

There will be 2012.2013,2014,2015,2016,2017 GTHL players that make the NHL. Every year GTHL players make the NHL. How many is the question. Most won't make it but Enjoy the ride.

REPS taking NYR kids , TM kids , top 2/3 booooook it

No idea who is going where, but while we play on a top 3 team we have family friends on Reps and from what I hear they have a good staff with patient hard working coaches, they def seem to put in more time than our coaches and while we are not moving, if we did, that appears to be a healthy group for growth and development worth considering

All TRW parents made their kids bed, unfortunately the kids need to sleep in it now. Make better choices for next year. Agreed - it’s on the parents to know what they are signing up for. End of the day - no one here is making it to the NHL. There are way too many parents living through their kids. Give it up. Let them enjoy the game, learn life lessons, and develop.

A, AA, and AAA all lead to the same path - beer league. Don’t
Put them in a high level if you can’t accept this. It doesn’t matter in the end other than the parents ego.

Some players that graduate the GTHL from 2015 year of birth will eventually make the NHL, history tells us that.
But that doesn't mean those guys are currently playing U10 in the GTHL, they could be playing up or elsewhere and some may be playing lower levels at this age.

Will 1-2-3 current GTHL U10 (2015) players make the NHL? Probably, but honestly we have no way of knowing which ones.

We will know more in 6 yrs when real hockey is played.

In last years NHL draft, 9 kids came from OMHA whereas 24 came from GTHL. The articles do not say if those G kids at one time played in the OMHA, and none of them were playing minor hockey while drafted.

The year before (2023) 9 kids were drafted from OMHA, were 12 came from GTHL.

This is a key point - none of these articles mention the benefits of their parents posting on MHT leading to their career development.

Reps will be a 10th place team next year , they have 1 semi half decent kid and a semi half decent goalie who will both leave , the kids coming in are castoffs of possibly top 5 teams , which if you know the game won't make the reps better

Be realistic with yourselves , the reps are not a good destination
