Most of the goalie parents seem saner than the player parents...Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 11:51 am100%. One goalie has a higher SVG% but also a higher GAA (he gets more shots for some reason), and that same goalie also WINS more games. The goalie that wins less "looks" better to me, even though he wins less. The goalie that wins less, is also not a great team-mate, when his partner loses he is the happiest guy in the arena. Not going to comment on who is good and who isn't, but any dumbass knows that GAA and Save % are stupid stats and really stupid stats at this age. You really think that they GAA for Titans would be materially different if they changed the goalie? You think JRC's GAA would change a ton if you changed the goalie? GAA is almost entirely a team stat, no one looks at GAA to compare goalies.
Welcome to primary age hockey.
The point is, stats really don't matter, and it's an incredibly hard position to evaluate at this age. Choose a good teammate and a goalie who likes the process, it's a long lonely road back there.

Maybe I'm wrong, but these seem like two different goalies playing with wildly different GAs against the same team in back to back games. He's not that far off, all you got to do is score 7 goals and you have a chance.![]()

And yes, I think it would make a difference. A better goalie might not help a team WIN the game, but they will lower the team's GA, even with the crappiest D infront of him. Duh.
You tell me. Are Rebels rocking one or two goalies?

That's the question of the hour for all fringe players; goalies, forwards or defensemen.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 12:50 pmCurious, do they just get moved around to other AAA teams or they drop to AA?Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 12:16 pmI'm gonna break up this kumbaya session...there are some AAA goalies this year that are TERRIBLE. Yes at U10 lol.

6.1 – Composition of Teams
(a) Each Team entered to play in the League in the categories of ’A’, ‘AA’, or ‘AAA’ must register a certified coach (as per Regulation 7.11), a certified Trainer (as per Regulation 7.12) and the following minimum number of Legitimate Players (as defined in Regulation 1):
This requirement applies before the first regular season game date for all Teams in the U10 to U16 age groups and October 15 for all Teams in the U17, U18 and U21 age groups. Each Team that has registered the required minimum number of Legitimate Players as of November 16 in any season shall be deemed to have that number of Legitimate Players registered for the balance of the Season.
(b) Teams participating in OHF, Regional or National Championships must have at least 15 registered players, two of whom must be goaltenders. Any Team that does not have 15 Legitimate players, including two goaltenders, registered by no later than January 10 will be ineligible to qualify for any of these events.
Re: 2015 AAA
MM have solid goaltending. Both are top 5 in the league, but one is particularly outstanding.
Re: 2015 AAA
That is for teams participating in OHF, Regional or National Championship to which there are none of those at U10 and U11 levels so you can absolutely registers with a smaller number of players and goalies. But if they run a U10 championship (aka winner of OMHA West, OMHA East, Alliance, NOHA, HEO and GTHL as example) than you would need to have roster this minimum to be allowed to register.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 1:57 pmGuest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 1:26 pm Not at u10 lol.
