what a joke
Typical vague, uninformed statement from the Eagles
AAA coaches had a meeting recently where CL and BE had absolutely ZERO answers for the coaches re: expectations, number of imports allowed, is it only AAA that are allowed have imports, how are the tryouts expected to be run? This is going to be an absolute disaster for BE and CL is completely out of his depth before this announcement.

What does he actually do for the organization ? I have never seen him at games, how are parent coaches evaluated? There is no survey, there is no evaluation process, just him emailing parent coaches telling them to pick so and so as his Dad is a friend

My kid is U15 and will stay but his friends who have younger siblings are all saying Oakville is their preferred destination or even Flamborough due to $$$$

JT was better !!!

Can anyone explain why all Burlington Eagles teams are short on ice in January because our rinks are being used for an OAKVILLE tournament?

Was it the City or the Eagles that gave this ice to Oakville?

Parents are meant to just eat the cost of this ?

Less ice in January and in February right before Open Borders - our beloved club is screwed and CL will just ride off after making a complete mess of things that will take years to recover from, DA too but as long he is making money from renting the Shield to a not-for-profit I guess

City Rink can do whatever it wants with the their rink.
Most Eagles team are playing in the Oakville Tournament. If your team wasn't registered for Oakville Winter Tournament then they should have registered for another one the same weekend.

That answers the question, the City gave the ice to Oakville Rangers so they could host their tournament.

DA owns shield hence why Eagles are using the dryland and ice as much. Not sure how this isn’t a massive conflict of interest.

Since DA and CL arrival program has become complete garbage. NLT waiting $350/hour is a complete disaster.

So the Eagles are paying DA for the use of the facility/services. That's a massive conflict. He becomes president, moves significant amount of training to Shield and profits from it. No one has brought this forward to the OMHA or OHF? This is one way to lose your NPO status.

Just when you think it couldn't get any more sketchy. It has. First they let JT son walk out of the city to the GTHL after rejecting/denying so many kids b4 him. Now the president financially benefits from his volunteer position.

The Eagles have always been so smug and because they were the only AAA team available, had such a poor attitude towards running a good program. I remember even the Tait years and now DA era is even worse somehow.

Will the Eagles lose more players than they attract? Would the Eagles be the destination for any good players ? It's been a while since I've been around the rinks here but I know my nephews on AAA in Burlington are looking to get out and try out for Oakville - are Oakville now that much better program?

I can only speak for the U12 to U14 age groups but Burlington will definitely not be a destination spot for any top players. The only players who will stay are the ones who aren’t good enough to move to better teams. That’s just the reality of it.
