SIR does not have a paid coach. Uncle on the goalie and great guy.

Interesting. I always assumed it was an uncle reffing the games at Montgomery.

SIR coach gets $17k/season ($1k per kid). This is his last season with the team and is moving up to coach a “AA” team. I assume that is where the kids from that team are going.

Nobody is going anywhere. What AA team do you think is looking at an A teams roster and coach? Remember the DMM experience? It doesn’t work. Enjoy what your kids are, and aren’t. So much crazy for such garbage hockey.

LOL! This is a complete lie. SIR coach is a volunteer and gets paid $0. We also have no players going up to AA. Fun fact for everyone - our team is entirely made up of single A players. For 4 straight seasons, not one kid on our roster came down from AA. Anyone who has been around the single A loop for the past few years knows this.

Not sure I’d say this was a big upset. I think Leaside has now beaten every team ahead of it in the standings. Top 7 teams are very close.

Someone has an axe to grind against the SIR coach and is straight up lying, my guess a team /parent/coach that wants players looking to not look toward SIR. Coach doesn’t get paid, almost all players returning, nobody jumping up to AA.
Someone’s looking to start rumours.

Leaside is better than its record. Not sure why they beat good teams and lose to weaker ones. But they’re a first round threat in any matchup.

Also noticed VRE handled FH easily last night. 5-1.
