If memory recalls, he wasn't good enough to make a Toronto Brick team (which is a low bar anyway), nor the Red Wings team which is closer to home. Parents desperate to have him on a Brick team, he went to PA where he and his team got torched routinely. Hit us all back when he's still considered as one of the two 'best tendies' in the league after a year with Markham.

He was so amazing at UCC (a real, actual private school with standards) that they let him go, and after losing the Brick with the 2014s, he got a job with Everest!
