2010 A West
Re: 2010 A West
What's happening with next season? Our coach told us he can't tell us whether he wants us back or not. Couldn't even say whether or not we're on the bubble. This is going to an absolute mess come May if all coaches are acting this way with the new rules in place. Anyone have any advice?

Most teams are simply being more careful until Feb 15th, just wait a week.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 12:07 pm What's happening with next season? My son currently plays in the loop and I’ve reached out to a few coaches as we are looking for a change. One said they were full, another said he’d let me know. So I think it’s interesting that your coach says he doesn’t know. If it’s me I’m taking that with a big grain of salt.
Re: 2010 A West
"Being full" is agasint the new rules and could get coach in a lot of trouble. Coaches need to refer everyone to organization website.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 3:54 pmLike anything in life I think there’s some truth and some deceit.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 3:29 pmShy Feb 15?Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 2:01 pmMost teams are simply being more careful until Feb 15th, just wait a week.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 12:07 pm What's happening with next season? Feb 15th is the new date that you can announce coaches for next season. Leagues have been told to crack down on tampering. Whether this happens or not is yet to be seen, but I can tell you that 100% coaches are being more careful than in the past. They have been told by orgs to be careful and keep things on the down low. Be happy your kid still wants to play hockey at U16, and be patient. No rush, they will find their spot.
Re: 2010 A West
Issue is kids aren't being told they don't have a spot back and G is telling coaches they can't say anything until tryouts. So with tryouts on the same day(s) it makes it impossible and families will be left scrambling.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 4:53 pm Feb 15th is the new date that you can announce coaches for next season. Oh... Eagles lost to the Sharks. I'm not sure there's a favorite between Eagles, Sharks and Avs. Any of these teams could win the West and it wouldn't be a surprise.
Predicting Eagles play WM in one semi, while Sharks and Avs will be the series to watch. Impossible to pick a winner.
Do the Panthers really get to play a playoff game??
Re: 2010 A West
No they won't, some are quietly having skates and some have quietly already offered spots to other players. After the 15th you'll just see business as usual and skates happening like any other year. You'll have loads of time to figure it out.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 9:37 amIssue is kids aren't being told they don't have a spot back and G is telling coaches they can't say anything until tryouts. Top 6 make playoffs so yes Panthers are a lock. It's pretty tight, I wouldn't be surprised if Avs win the west but still a long shot. Eagles are fav, don't see HVS having enough come playoff time.

Will be fun. WM should outlast Attack but it will be close.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 9:50 amNo they won't, some are quietly having skates and some have quietly already offered spots to other players. East is equally up for grabs. Have seen most in tournaments this season and my pick is SIR, that's a team built for the playoffs. NT is a surprise, I don't see them at the same level as the top 3 in West or others in East.

WM made a nice run in the Kennedy a couple of weeks back, but no chance at taking 6 points from the Eagles.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 10:07 amWill be fun. I'm going Avs & Eagles in the finals. From there too close to predict.
SIR & Aeros is my pick for East finals.
