Not submitting paperwork involving vulnerable sector screening is a HUGE oversight. It’s actually OFFENSIVE, if you realize that vulnerable sector screening is essential in preventing known criminals from having access to children.

Rattlers should have taken the initial single loss/suspension given by the G. Too bad the adults involved had to appeal, I bet the players would have been alright taking the Gs first offer.
Ummmm the paperwork was submitted. That's the point. So many idiots on here that can't follow the details. Paperwork submitted, including VSC. GTHL admin gave wrong information and registrar made a mistake. What's OFFENSIVE is that you speak about inaccurate details.

Why wasn’t the trainer’s name on any of the gamesheets?

That’s definitely suspect…kinda ties a questionable knot around the claim of mistaken information given to the team registrar by the G.
On ipads 5 slots but 6 names. On paper the name was there. GTHL had all his paperwork, including VSC in September. Registration with OHF was in September. GTHL messed up the "trainer at large" registration. It was a simple clerical error.

According to the letters submitted to the G (complete with excuses) from the team registrar & the organization, the trainer’s registration was not submitted/completed to the G until December.

Letters available on the Rattler’s “Let Them Play” website.

If it was just an unintentional oversight, why was the trainer’s name intentionally & continually not included on game sheets?

Rattlers have taken the G’s initial1 game loss/6 game suspension of trainer in question.

5 slots, yes, you're only allowed 5 team officials on the bench in a game. They didn't play 14 games with 6 team officials on the bench. They didn't play 1 game with 6 on the bench. Ref's aren't allowing it. You have 5 slots to fill out the up to 5 team officials on the bench that game. And 14 times, this guys name doesn't make it on the official sheet? And worse yet, he is on the paper, there's two different versions going? Really?

Right? Somebody, somewhere, knew something was wrong and they tried to massage it through. It's obvious. The G has followed their rules to a tee here. There is no discretionary penalty for intentionally playing a game with an unregistered team official, you forfeit the game. The adult staff involved should be ashamed of themselves.. I know that they are. Should man up and admit it.

People throwing shade at the Association, looks to me like they did their best to fall on the sword, good try. Game sheet is the head coach's responsibility ultimately... he should be fired with cause, if they want a rebate get it there.

People can't follow the details because the story keeps changing and the details are sketchy/incomplete.
The website the trolls are bitching about contains all the documents. Every detail fully transparent and on display.
So no Rattlers parents had any idea about this. But... didn't you also say it's unfair to punish the poor bench staff who are just volunteer parents? At least they manager and trainer are parents, right? So I guess parents did know about this. And every game when the manager submitted the gamesheet knowing full well that the trainers name wasn't on it but they signed off on it anyways and didn't bother reporting it. I guess that detail was missed also, right? And was it the GTHL that didn't provide proper details to the registrar, or the registrar that made a mistake in submitting the paper work. Because you've said both. And what exactly were the incorrect details the GTHL apparently provided? Or what was the information the registrar failed to submit? Every detail fully transparent and on display, and yet I don't seem to see any of these details. But maybe I just missed them amongst all the text complaining about this isnt fair and blaming everyone else without accepting any responsibility. So I'll just take your word for it that all the details are there and fully transparent. :D
Rattlers made a mistake and we know this but the G should hold the adults accountable and not wipe out an entire season for the kids. Be honest did the trainer have anything to do with these boys winning - absolutely not.

It’s an outdated rule that nobody agrees with

Yes the Rattlers will probably be in playoffs but is it really fair the Panthers play the Rattlers 1st round? This decision will also impact other teams - rules need to evole to reflect current values

So what are we supposed to tell our kids..??? They want to know why the GTHL is punishing them. They can’t function properly, they aren’t sleeping, eating or going to school. This has affected them deeply.

They should do something other than what the rules call for? It’s not out-dated, it’s very very current, we’ve had some problems as a society with organized sports and taking advantage of youth. It sucks for 99.9% of us, hey I had to jump the hoops too, but f’ing Graham James was a good guy too at some point.

What’s the current value? If it was some crap team who cares but they were good and it’s not fair?

Here’s the update. Tough luck, shouldn’t have f’d with it. Fire your staff. Shameful. Really feel sorry for those kids.

The G is punishing them because their staff broke the rules. Head on. Not their fault. Yes they have to deal with it. Welcome to life. We do this to install values and discipline, here it is.

Then, your staff needs to man up and tell them we made a mistake, it’s on us, we’re sorry, first off. Then, going f’ing win, make the playoffs even though we screwed you, we know you can do it, and let’s f’ing go. Enough feeling sorry for yourself.
