Open Borders was an opportunity to save the program and the board seems to have doubled down on bad people running the AA teams, and clear evidence by bringing back the U9 coach who had been chased out of every other organization and adding an incompetent A coach for that level.

MDP is the biggest loser around. "Former Pro" and a terrible person. Why would you want your kids around this degenerate.

MDP is an amazing coach. He’s helped so many kids get to the next level of their game. He cares and kids love him. He doesn’t limit opportunities in favor of his huge ego, like other coaches people have discussed widely here. Thanks for another tone deaf, ignorant comment clearly from an AMHA board member tho. You guys are absolutely pathetic.

Get off this thread Marley. Why you so jealous of MDP? Cause he helps kids advance and you stop them from advancing? Get a life.

MM, MDP are VOLUNTEER coaches that spend a ridiculous amount of hours on and off the ice committed to their teams. I can only imagine how demotivating it would feel to come across some of these posts. Everyone always thinks that they can do a better job but few are actually willing to put in the time and effort to coach.

Is a coach still considered a volunteer if his child plays at a level they shouldn't, and he takes pleasure in the struggles of parents and players?

Tells them they’ll never move to the next level cause he wants them for himself. Appreciate volunteers one hundred percent but I think you’re missing the point. He shouldn’t be volunteering. He shouldn’t be allowed 4 years coaching the same poor kids.
