Yes, I have my level 3 trainers, my VSC, multiple years of experience and training across several sports and I have been a practicing chiropractor for the last 28 years. All my credentials and courses are listed under my Hockey Canada Spordle account. All this was submitted at the beginning of the year and I received my receipt and green check mark from Hockey Canada. I take the kids safety rather seriously, as I sit on the bench at all practices and am constantly sending kids off the ice when they don't have their proper equipment on. I also attend most games, except tournament games on Fridays when I am working at my clinic. It is true we requested information to allow us to register 2 trainers at the beginning of the season. We were not provided the proper information by the paid staff member at the GTHL. Apparently the breakdown was between our registrar and the the GTHL office although only one side has claimed any responsibility for this and it's not the GTHL. I became a Trainer at large attached to the Rattlers organization the day after this was brought to our attention. This is nothing that isn't in the public domain already.
It is true that someone went around their own organization and sent my picture in to the GTHL. I was identified because she knows me, she is a person that I have been friendly with, as our kids played together in Oakville for two years when they were young and I was trainer/assistant coach for those teams. Up to that time I was completely unaware of any issue with my registration.
I know that people love to troll but a lot of people have had the crap kicked out of them over this affair, her included. I would ask that you just leave her alone.
Fast forward to last night and the Rattlers vs. Panther game. I was acting as the trainer for the Panthers also, when a horrible injury happened which caused me to spend the majority of the game in the dressing room. By the time we got our player off the ice, cut his equipment off, assessed the injury, waited for the ambulance and tried like hell to keep him from going into shock, I got back onto the bench with about 7 minutes left in the game. In the meantime our other trainer who was present, was keeping watch over the game. Again this is one of the reasons we asked about having two trainers in the first place.
What the G has done to our kids over the last few months I find absolutely disgusting. Judging by the public's response to this most agree. It speaks to a much deeper problem of adults abusing their mandate but I'm sure many of the good people felt change was too big a mountain to climb and left a long time ago. But that is a story for another day.
I myself wish to have nothing to do with the GTHL ever again and will very grudgingly pull dollars out to give to this league next year, should my kid continue on with hockey, however, after what I dealt with last night, I realize the safety of our kids is much more important than any of this petty politics.
Lastly I am immensely proud of our boys. Based on how I feel, they must have been under an enormous amount of pressure the last few weeks. I actually don't know how they have played as well as they have. To be the best, you have to beat the best and they are learning their lessons every game. In a win or you are out game, they delivered when they had to.
That's my story. Thanks for reading, troll it if you want. I don't really care.

Hiding what? Why would they go through all of this of someone did it on purpose? What could possibly be gained?? Doesn't make sense at all, especially since he had his certifications and VSC. The question i have is, if MR knew that they could lose all their points by appealing the one loss, was the decision to appeal put to a parent vote? Did the parents know the the potential consequences of an appeal?Guest wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 9:07 pmWere you, and they, hiding something? MR Mom, please respond. A logical argument against the points made, something beyond keep us in your thoughts and prayers, and oh my dear god, won’t someone please think of the children.

No, they didn’t. The staff doubled down on a mistake they knew was legit, hoped to get off on excuses, association backed them up, backfired badly.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 9:23 pm

Oh please, get off your high horse. If the GTHL actually cared about the kids then this paperwork error would have been caught and fixed at the beginning of the season. What this brings to light is that there are no checks and balances outside of the team. The GTHL has claimed no responsibilities and in fact reinforces that everything is the responsibility of a bunch of volunteers. That is what you should be enraged about. The GTHL only cares about AAA, nothing else and no one else's kid matters.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 8:09 pmGuest wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 8:01 pmNo. They. Of all the years my boys played we had a non carded parent on the bench almost every year to open doors when needed and nothing ever happened. The rule needs to change and only punish the offender and organization.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 4:49 pmGuest wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 4:22 pm You're all morons. The GTHL won't budge. They've had way worse headlines (see recent Akim aliu drama and Markham majors investigations), larger petitions, and more influential organizations not happy with them, and they don't budge, nor care. Accept your 8th place and move on. VP stop whining. Good luck in the playoffs everyone.
You never know. I’d suggest they keep it up. Go to more media, do a protest with signs and chants, keep circulating the petition and don’t go away. That’s what the G wants, they want you to forget about it or get frustrated. Don’t do that. Keep your voices loud and keep spreading your message. Go on a hunger strike!
You entitled, selfish pricks, the lot of you, MR parents, supporters, all you.
It’s a serious Not allowed penalty because it can’t happen. Nobody gives a Not Allowed about a fine everyone chips in $100 on, or some short suspension. It’s about doing everything possible to keep abuse out of minor hockey. Everyone on the team thought that Graham James was a good Not allowed dude at some point. You’re willing to risk some kid, maybe yours, getting diddled on the No. They. Don’t.

Wake the Not Allowed up. You assholes. I mean I don’t blame you for being pissed but given what you’ve learned about the circumstances can you take off the blinders and see the big picture?

MR parent here, with all the stress of the events taken place with my son’s team, it’s really taken a toll on my own mental health. I’ve been off work since this all happened, currently on stress leave from work. Does anyone know how long this will last?

It’s because it’s not their responsibility, ya, it’s the responsibility of the association and staff. Jesus can’t anyone there man up.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 9:39 pm
