2015 AAA
Re: 2015 AAA
TRW use to be one of the top organizations in the entire province to play for in every age group. Now it’s become the polar opposite. What the hell happened?
Re: 2015 AAA
Apparently a weekly event. Seems to be the laziest money grab in the G.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 11:09 pmI was at the skate. Joe Venuto specifically told my family to come to the skate to be evaluated for a spot. If there are no spots available, that seems pretty dirty to me.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 2:26 pmGuest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 1:16 pmIt’s the parents’s assumption that these are tryout skates. For tryout skates that take place before the official date in April, the coach is NEVER on the ice, unless they are brazen. So, the fact the coach is on the ice tells you it’s not a tryout. If you’ve been to other tryouts, the coaches are usually observing off-ice.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 11:11 amGuest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 10:12 amTotal cash grab. Is the team full? Any feedback from old man joe venuto?
AA parent looking for a spot thanks!
Saturday evening @ Sports Village. Several parents seen raging. 50+ kids on the ice. The best part of all of this is that JV is not even picking the team. BB is picking the team, and the team has already been set for several weeks. Unreal... Great way to ruin your primary source of income being a hockey school guy and ass f##king families for $50. The hockey community is small.. People talk... Not a good business practice.
"Assumption"... That's a pretty naïve statement. If that's the case, then the 50+ families that attended the "development skate" where falsely led to believe that their kids where coming to this "development skate" to be evaluated by the coach of the TRW team for next season. This smells a little like tampering with the OHF rules. Has the GM of the TRW along with the GTHL and OHF been made aware of the situation?
That being said, I have no idea how anyone could be evaluated doing the most basic hockey drills on earth. Not even a scrimmage. Either this guy has no idea what he's doing, or he just took everybody for a $60 ride.

TT players have committed to top AA teams. Not sure where you are getting your info from.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 11:13 pmGuest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 3:40 pmRed wings spots have been offered to OMHA kids. Let’s think about this, the OMHA players coming to play for the TRW, regardless of where they are coming from will have to pay double the price they are currently paying to play hockey, only to play on a bottom 4 team in the G. This team will potentially be a bottom 2 team. Where can I sign up for that?
At the age of 10 years old, If the opportunity was with a top 6 team, it makes a little more sense!
The players coming to the TRW are TT players and mid pack teams OMHA players. So players from an 11th place team and players from mid pack OMHA teams.
Clearly not very smart people!

Just so we are clear PM is their most complete player and will be their best player long term.
ZM super fast and all he does is toe drag. Makes no sense
It’s like having a 1000hp car and only ever driving the speed limit
People that don't know hockey only see forwards and how many goals they score.
JRC is a 3rd-4th place team if #5 isn't on the roster.
Re: 2015 AAA
Honestly they brought in people like Joe Venuto. Expect to see big money sponsors come in to line Joe's pockets. The same way he takes cash to influence the OHL draft (even though he has no influence).Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 11:49 pm TRW use to be one of the top organizations in the entire province to play for in every age group. Yes Marlies do have the best D in the country, JRC has maybe 1 but not even close to the Marlies D. JRC #19 hands down is the reason they are in 1st.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 6:42 pmMarlies have the best D, 3 Brick D, not even close.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 4:58 pmGuest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 4:39 pmI think they have 2 or 3 top D, agree they win b/c of the DGuest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 4:34 pmSorry to disappoint you guys but the best player on JRC is their RHD #5 and it is not really even close.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 4:04 pmJust so we are clear PM is their most complete player and will be their best player long term.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 4:00 pm
WW would win eveytime against JRC. JRC only has 1 good player #19

JRC D is significantly better than Marlies, and Marlies is losing their only actual D (97).Guest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 10:11 amYes Marlies do have the best D in the country, JRC has maybe 1 but not even close to the Marlies D. looks like all the JRC D parents are on this. JRC' D never touch the puck during a game.
