So I think VR wins 3 straight against TR ( they lost 5-0 to HVS enough said ) MB squeaks out the series vs Tigers - TE beats up MNS 3 games to 1 - VP and MR 7 points to 5 either way

All first round series will be sweeps except TE vs MNS. VR, MB, and VP all sweep the series. MNS squeaks by TE.

Oh, I thought all the VPs had the sniffles, and that's why they lost to MR? Isn't that what you said last week? And when they beat MR 'only' 2-0 it was because they all had the flu? Can't wait to hear the excuses next week. Should be a good series. MR are a bunch of resilient kids, they should have finished in 2nd place but didn't because the team has an idiot manager. Actually, 2 idiot managers.

Clancy Tourney doesn't start until Mar 8. VP can sweep MR out of playoffs by Mar 3. So that should be enough time for the MR parents to start a new campaign that Rattlers should be allowed to Let Them Play in the Clancy. They will argue the opposite now that they didn't deserve any points back and so they didn't qualify for the playoffs and should be allowed to register for the Clancy now instead. Everything is so dramatic for these MR parents!

The team said the trainer is a physician with the highest level of certification who has been a registered volunteer in five previous seasons and submitted all his credentials in September. The Rattlers say the situation was an “understandable mistake” and that a GTHL policy allows this decision to be reversed if it is an understandable mistake.

An appeal by the team to the league has been turned down.

“Rather than protecting the children, the GTHL decision is hurting them,” said not allowed Davis, a parent and a volunteer team manager who has been part of the appeal process. “As parents and volunteers, we expect better.”

Ted Griffith, a spokesperson for the team, said the case will go to the Ontario Hockey Federation but that hearing will come too late to salvage the season for the Rattlers.

“It’s too bad, the league could have handled this much differently,” said Griffith. “It punishes the players who had a chance to win the championship this year.”

Griffith said that by going public, the team hopes league officials will face enough pressure to reconsider its decision.
