I have been watching LiveBarn the last couple weeks and have seen five kids at most on the ice? Told me all returning next year but where is the other 10 kids is there some sort of break going on right now ?
It is a great program. Heavy focus on positional play and they are very selective on the kids they take. Only the top kids are extended an invite to participate in their highly coveted HP program. Coaches are all elite communicators and have played high level hockey. if you want a path to the NHL it is the only program to consider. Brick level only kids. They even have a dedicated trainer that ties the kids skates.
I think they have a team doctor as well
I love how they have gender equality I seen three boys and two girls out there. It’s nice to see equal play.

Saturday evening @ Sports Village. Several parents seen raging. 50+ kids on the ice. The best part of all of this is that JV is not even picking the team. BB is picking the team, and the team has already been set for several weeks. Unreal... Great way to ruin your primary source of income being a hockey school guy and ass f##king families for $50. The hockey community is small.. People talk... Not a good business practice.
It’s the parents’s assumption that these are tryout skates. For tryout skates that take place before the official date in April, the coach is NEVER on the ice, unless they are brazen. So, the fact the coach is on the ice tells you it’s not a tryout. If you’ve been to other tryouts, the coaches are usually observing off-ice.
Red wings spots have been offered to OMHA kids. Whether they come or not depends if they want to drive to play on a weak team.

Let’s think about this, the OMHA players coming to play for the TRW, regardless of where they are coming from will have to pay double the price they are currently paying to play hockey, only to play on a bottom 4 team in the G. This team will potentially be a bottom 2 team. Where can I sign up for that?

At the age of 10 years old, If the opportunity was with a top 6 team, it makes a little more sense!

The players coming to the TRW are TT players and mid pack teams OMHA players. So players from an 11th place team and players from mid pack OMHA teams.

Clearly not very smart people!
They will be bottom 2 guaranteed. I don't mean that as trash talk. Couple players from OMHA AAA team, couple TT players (not the good ones), and some AA. The few TRW players worth returning are leaving. That is a pretty big hole to climb out of.
Let's save this comment and the other ones similar to it, then revisit in a year from now and see how it's aged. Reality is that this is coming from a G parent that has no clue of the talent outside of his bubble, or an OMHA family that is bitter because they weren't included in the conversation.

TRW will not finish lower than 7th next year, guaranteed. Do the families joining believe that they will be the top team in the G? Answer is "no".
With the exception of WW and NCP (for different reasons) and speaking generally, all of the OMHA East teams have at least 2-5 players that other teams would love to have. Typically the skill drop- off is swift once you move past those 2-5 players (again, generally speaking).

Why would anyone not want the current bottom feeder to make drastic changes to improve their program, thus making the whole loop stronger? The attention to this TRW subject seems super odd.

From reading the thread, there seems to be various commentary on the character and integrity of new leadership taking over. Due diligence highly encouraged, as history has a weird way of repeating itself. . A reasonable questions to ask prior to making a commitment to this group;

What is the estimated team budget?
Who will be the team manager next season? If a non parent, WHY?

Due diligence highly encouraged. History has a weird way of repeating itself.

How is this chat at 1050 pages for kids who have played AAA hockey for exactly 6 months? Incredible...

What a stupid comment.

Cella had Lindros and Wolski as development parent/coaches and he let his little man syndrome get in the way. You don’t think that will happen to VB (who isn’t even on the same planet hockey wise as Lindros and Wolski)?

Cella is an goof who can’t build a team and thrives on conflict with anyone and everyone. History will repeat itself. Have seen it for years with this guy.
ok but VB is bringing 3 top Brick players on his team, Lindros and Wolski did not have this
Which top brick kids?
#19 #88 2 top kids hands down
who even are these kids and are they going to VK ?
VK blowing up.

Any players still looking for a spot should be reaching out to VK, they have spots to fill.
I asked a friend who has a kid on the VK about this rumor. They said they heard the same, and had already reached out to CJ about who was committed to staying/going but CJ had not responded to them.

So you are taking the time to write a message about a friend who has a kid on VK who is uncertain of their status on the team?

All well and good but if you're desperate for a spot, it won't make a difference. At the sat skate lots of kids on current AAA teams that are not asking them back. They'll anything vs. going to AA.

This is so dumb. We all know all of here will 100% sign with TRW if they are the only team offering us a spot. Why else are there 50+ of us out at skates? You can tell me they are totally corrupt, but if this is the only offer my kid is getting then I'm taking it. Good for the parent that's doing their "due dilligence" and saying no to one of 200 spots in the GTHL at this level.
