Bunch of crazy parents in this age group. Don't want to go to a skate, don't go. If your kid is as good as you think they are they don't need to go to "development" skates. If your kid is like they other 75% of kids in the age group then yes, you need to pay for development skates and stop complaining. Look at your budget, the coach is making like $20,000 for the season, is it really a problem if they are making a bit of money on the side. Don't like it - open boarders, go play somewhere else. This group of parents whines and bitches more than anything I've ever seen.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 8:42 amI am sure any one of the people who run skates can justify the cost… equipment, web site redevelopment, anything you can think of the “extra money” could be accounted for if you got right down to it.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 8:08 am The coaches that use their positions of power to profit off of 9 year old kids and their families should be stripped of their teams. Coaches are doing this in plain sight, and therefore the GTHL / Hockey Canada are complicit. They are turning a blind eye on their stated rules that "all teams in the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) are required to operate as not-for-profit corporations".

I'll let JF know and pass along the feedback, who are you and where does your kid play? I'm sure you have called JF to try and be on his team that's the best part about all of this.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 9:14 amThe kid needs a 7 day a week learn to skate programGuest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 8:36 amJF’s kid is an animal and I love it. My kid is on another team and no we aren’t playing there next year either. The kid is a nice boy.
Stop picking on kids if you don’t like the parents.
Personally I’ve never seen anything but good things from JF
The top teams get the hardest hate. Stay on your keens where you belong you peasant. You want to knock a coach no problem, at least knock one that robs you of your $$ and has you on a 7th place team. JF (our coach, i could careless if you know i play for the nats and will be again next year) doesn't take a dime from a single kid/parent and we finished in 4th. So while you continue to knock the guy just remember to beg a little harder when you call him week after week.
Re: 2015 AAA
I know this is JF because the one thing he likes to talk about most is how long his list is of people who want to go to his team. I hear he also has many leatherbound books and his apartment smells of rich mahogany. He's kind of a big deal. People know him.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 9:54 amI'll let JF know and pass along the feedback, who are you and where does your kid play? Re: 2015 AAA
These are fair comments - this is the way it is I guess, and if don't like it play elsewhere.
Re: 2015 AAA
went into this season on a high, my kid loved hockey, was scoring goals, battling in the corners and just having fun. Then this season had a coach who favored a few kids, ignored the rest, and belittled and yelled at them on the bench and in the locker room. Had kids crying multiple times. I mean just full out yelling at the kids. 9 and 10 year olds. Blamed the parents for any hardships the team faced and had multiple kids wanting to quit the team. Many of your little super stars on fast tracking to the NHL but the rest of us just want a healthy environment for our kids to play the sport they love. Be better coaches, these kids will remember youGuest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 9:54 amI'll let JF know and pass along the feedback, who are you and where does your kid play? Re: 2015 AAA
You parents all revolve your life around youth hockey maybe you should all get a life because really none of these kids are making the NHL.

Re: 2015 AAA
None?, not sure about that comment. So no 2015's in the GTHL are making it, who cares if they do or not. Parents can revovolve or not that's up to them.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 10:36 am You parents all revolve your life around youth hockey maybe you should all get a life because really none of these kids are making the NHL.
