I have to agree with you. At least two of those kids, their parents definitely have the resources. Rough math...the amount they spend on their kids is INSANE.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 2:55 pmmy son is one that is mentioned here. what do you know about our family?Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 11:55 am Only 3–7 kids from the 2015 GTHL. at best 10, but more likely around 5 will play at least one NHL game. That includes those who will move up to AAA from OMHA, AA, and other provinces or countries in the coming years. A few more will play 5–6 seasons in the AHL or Europe for a salary comparable to a good barber’s earnings.
No matter how talented your child is now, his chances drop significantly if now he isn’t taller than the average for his age group. At 9–10 years old, smaller kids like BP, ZL, TB, and a few others often outperform their peers because they are pushing beyond a sustainable workload for their age. They simply lack the resources for proper growth. Their parents are sacrificing long-term physical development—height and weight being important indicators for short-term success. They will simply fade away in few years. It happened in every age group.
If your child plays on a strong team with a good coach (one of the 4–5 top-mid-level teams in the 2015 loop), is growing well, enjoys the game, and balances school and other activities, then staying in hockey as long as possible will benefit him, even if he doesn’t make the NHL.
However, chasing coaches like from MM, Nats, VK, TT, or TRW makes little sense. Not only will you spend months surrounded by parents who belong in a circus or a zoo as in case of Nats, but you’ll also deal with coaches, who shouldn't coach at all. It won’t be good for your child’s mental or physical health. Just needless waste of time and money that could be spent on something better.

Spoke to him once, he seems like a descent human. Would not group him with the bunch.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 12:03 pmWhy not? I don't know a lot about him, but he produces an image of a very timid personGuest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 11:58 amWhich coach are you talking about? Because theres no way that is JF.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 10:27 amwent into this season on a high, my kid loved hockey, was scoring goals, battling in the corners and just having fun. Then this season had a coach who favored a few kids, ignored the rest, and belittled and yelled at them on the bench and in the locker room. Had kids crying multiple times. I mean just full out yelling at the kids. 9 and 10 year olds. Blamed the parents for any hardships the team faced and had multiple kids wanting to quit the team. Many of your little super stars on fast tracking to the NHL but the rest of us just want a healthy environment for our kids to play the sport they love. Be better coaches, these kids will remember youGuest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 9:54 amI'll let JF know and pass along the feedback, who are you and where does your kid play? I'm sure you have called JF to try and be on his team that's the best part about all of this.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 9:14 amThe kid needs a 7 day a week learn to skate programGuest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 8:36 am
JF’s kid is an animal and I love it. It’s what I want in my Dmen.
My kid is on another team and no we aren’t playing there next year either. The kid is a nice boy.
Stop picking on kids if you don’t like the parents.
Personally I’ve never seen anything but good things from JF
The top teams get the hardest hate. Stay on your keens where you belong you peasant. You want to knock a coach no problem, at least knock one that robs you of your $$ and has you on a 7th place team. JF (our coach, i could careless if you know i play for the nats and will be again next year) doesn't take a dime from a single kid/parent and we finished in 4th. So while you continue to knock the guy just remember to beg a little harder when you call him week after week.

I am reaching out to address recent misinformation regarding Impact Hockey and the misinterpretation of our programs as a pathway to A, AA, and AAA teams. I want to clarify unequivocally that this claim is false and entirely unfounded.
Furthermore, please note that Impact Hockey will be temporarily suspending the 2015 age category from our programs until further notice. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we implement this change. We would like to thank our loyal 2015 client base for their patience and understanding in this unfortunate matter that ultimately affects the "KIDS".
Impact Hockey is fully committed to offering high-quality development opportunities for players. However, we are not affiliated with—and do not serve as a direct pathway to—A, AA, or AAA teams. We strictly adhere to GTHL rules, protocols, and guidelines.
Our trainers will not engage in discussions regarding pathways to higher-tier teams. We encourage all players to participate in tryouts and make informed decisions that best support their individual development.
Thank you for your continued support, and we wish everyone the best of luck in the upcoming tryouts.
Best regards,
Joe Venuto

P.S. I encourage the “person” or the few people that have so much to say on these platforms to contact me directly and stop hiding behind anonymously: 905-302-8889. As I do not appreciate this type of bullying at an adult level you have forgotten that this is about the kids. I welcome a conversation.
Glad to see there is recourse to those that take advantage of families in misleading, them with unethical business practice.
