Except I was there and I’m from another team, so completely unbiased.. saw the whole thing just outside of the dressing rooms as the kids were coming off the ice. The kid didn’t lie. Word on the street is the accused tried to shut everyone up with some big scary legal papers. No one goes that far out of their way to cover up something if they didn’t do anything wrong. Not worth anyone’s time or money. Defamation case, that would be impossible because of what I saw and heard in my opinion. Making the statement of “video and witness statements were provided” seem completely false.
  Except video from the rink AND the hallway show he doesn't cross paths with CM at all. Keep drinking that koolaid. Just more deflection from EMC rather than admitting to a kid and his misconduct. It's about time someone got a lawyer to shut up the miserable EMC parents. You can't lie and get away with it.
11.4 can’t be issued on hearsay - very serious offence has to be applied when 100% certain. Good luck fighting that

Everyone’s looking to fight something if they can’t win the regular way they want to complain about something
The real question is why wouldn’t Elgin just take the suspension and continue on playing half their team if this was legitimate

Because EMC is never wrong! They'll fight this because it's just not fair and he's a good kid.
1) Every kid is “good”. Bad decisions don’t mean“bad kids”.. grow up they are 12. They are all doing and saying dumb stuff.. even your little angel

2) they should fight it.. stick up for your team. If the kids didn’t hear it, the coaches didn’t hear it.. the kid says something different happened.. stick up for your team. Every single time. Period. You won’t change my mind. I would hope my coach would stick up for my kid

This is where you are wrong. This code wasn't thrown out without the REF hearing it. It's not a he said, she said situation and that's why it comes with a hearing and indefinite suspension. You can stick up for your players when it's deserved. You can't have a talk about "raising great men, not just hockey players" and then fight to excuse bad behaviour. Maybe show the kids that there are consequences for their actions. Use this as a teaching moment and maybe this kid, and all the others on the team, won't do it again. Excuse it and you're just waiting for the next situation to arise.

If the ref “heard it” and it was so definitive.. why didn’t he make the call on the ice when it happened?

It happened early in the first period around 9:15 - the ref heard it. Player did not play the rest of the first period and was sent off in-between periods.

Did the ref call a penalty at 9:15 and the player stayed in the penality box for the remainder of the period?

From my kid (take it with a grain of salt, I know). Ref told the coach if he benches CM for the remainder of the game, it wouldn't go to Alliance. CM benched for remainder of the first. Then the ref/linesmen discussed after first period, spoke to EMC coach again and CM removed from ice. Ref also spoke with Cambridge coach. From someone with gamesheet access, 11.4F on gamesheet.

What is the "F"?

All the gross misconduct penalties have an F beside the number and are indefinite. May be related?

Is this normal practice? I understand you can call a penalty (unsportsmanlike) in the moment and have it looked at by the alliance later. But I have never heard of a situation where no penalty was called (not even a minor) and then kick a kid out 10 minutes later??

The more information that comes out the more confused I am. A REF “directly heard” a player something discriminatory and didn’t even call a 2 minute penalty at the time that it happened?

2 min pim for discriminatory Conduct. That is a new one. Why did the player not have another shift after? RD had to know what was said if he was ok with not having him play another shift for the rest of the period. Has anyone asked him? would love to hear what his version of events are.
