2015 AA
Re: 2015 AA
There are some teams in the loop
With 4-5 players that are very weak
How they ended up on the team ? Lots of ways and not all mean the coach can’t pick kids
Last 5 minutes in a close regular season game should be treated like the third period in a playoff game
Reward the kids who are working hard, leaving their heart on the ice and doing the right things in the game
Instead some of you are more concerned with not offending players that aren’t excelling
Maybe this is why we are such a mid society

The entitlement is what gets me
Insisting that all teams adopt equal icetime and removing choice for others that favour a meritocracy
No one is forcing these parents to bring kids to playoff games
There are 8 AA teams done for the year now, watching from home
Either have your kid join them or tell him to suck it up and learn a life lesson.
Then, next year, stop trying to climb the ladder and find a new place to play at a lower level. That might actually give your kid a chance to excel.

Coming from a place of compassion I sympathize with kids who are behind and parents who don't have the hockey knowledge to identify that their kids don't belong. That said it's playoff time and if your kid isn't getting a regular shift you should relocate them to A or select. It's not rocket science. Embrace the warm slice of humble pie and get out of the way. Life isn't fair. Get used to it.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 7:06 pm The entitlement is what gets me

Smaller rosters and less teams is the solution.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 8:41 pmComing from a place of compassion I sympathize with kids who are behind and parents who don't have the hockey knowledge to identify that their kids don't belong. I’m a coach of a top team and in the playoffs none of my bottom guys are sniffing the 3rd period. I hope parents cry about it.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 7:06 pm The entitlement is what gets me

No crazy upsets in the East. Not sure about the west, but by the time you wake up in the morning they'll be 4 pages to read.
