I mean this is totally true, but I wasn’t going to say that. Hence, just don’t get caught. But the words (it rhymed with itch starts with a b) holding more value than violence is the world we live in, and it doesn’t work well when trying to keep hockey physically safe. It seems an unreasonable punishment. For all and any kids or any age.
Could you say it to a co-worker in the office? then Don't say it on the ice, the kids all know the rules.
I say it to my boss all the time.
Difference is players have adrenaline rush going on when playing at high intensity.
And the difference is if you call a name at work you might get fired. If you punch a guy at work, you’ll get arrested. Not the case in the G! Punishment doesn’t fit the crime.
Poor parenting.
If you can’t do the time don’t do the crime.

Yes. Used a slur, got caught. 7 games. Cya
WH is unraveling at the seams. Is there a way they can somehow blame the Scarborough coaches for this one too????
This can’t be true! WH darlin’s would never do such a thang.
Said Not Allowed. Gets 7 games. GTHL rules re getting out of hand on language. No excuse for WH. This is happening all over. If it’s not racial, we need to make less harsh suspensions for words. Doesn’t make sense that physical fighting is 5 games and a word is 7. Better to use fists? I don’t know. I’d rather have my kid get called a Not Allowed than have to sit out after an injury from fighting.
This is across the board. Does GTHL have a list of words that can’t be said? I’ve heard of so many suspensions for words that are not even offensive in the reality of things. I guess they should just punch someone instead. Or just don’t get caught
This is the unfortunate reality of the current state of the GTHL, influenced by management with a progressive agenda. It is my belief that the only language warranting penalties should be racial slurs. Beyond that, freedom of expression should be maintained. Personally, I would rather endure verbal insults than face physical violence.

Furthermore, a seven-game suspension feels like an unjustifiable financial loss, akin to flushing $1,000 in fees down the drain. The GTHL has become a laughingstock and needs to reassess its approach. It is concerning that in some cases, the suspension for violent behavior towards a referee is less severe than that for verbal altercations.

Sounds like a good life lesson. Freedom of expression doesn't mean freedom from consequence. You don't have the right to insult people consequence free. it's how the world works. But we know rules don't apply to WH players, they just can't help themselves. they're not responsible for their actions, it's the other team that instigates it.
