Goons are the TA parents

Sad to see a kid get hurt last night, never wanna see that happen, and I hope he’s okay. But man, the way some of those TA parents handled it was wild. One parent in particular, the same guy who was always recording games last year, stirring the pot, chirping kids, and trying to start fights, no surprise he was leading the charge again. It’s one thing to be upset, totally understandable, but to act like it was intentional and carry on like that? Bad example for the kids, bad look overall. Some parents really need to check themselves.
Several headshots in first two periods by trt

Up 5-1 and blindside kid in boards several seconds after puck left stuck

Kid on ice convulsing in seizures and foaming at the mouth.

You come on here about how some parents reacted to what was seen. Just shut it and be thankful that it wasn't worse and kid can hopefully recover to normal.

This is the same parent who’s been a problem all last season and this season, constantly recording games, chirping, yelling at refs, making comments to other parents, and even yelling at kids on opposing teams. There’s literally been complaints about him from refs. Honestly, it just seems like he’s frustrated his kid’s stuck on a mediocre team or something, and now he overreacts to every play. Funny how when a TA kid goes down, he’s outraged, but when it’s the other team, he’s yelling for the kid to get up and stop faking it. Completely unhinged.

The hit itself was a shoulder to shoulder collision that unfortunately resulted in an injury, definitely not a dirty play. But the way some TA parents acted after was beyond out of line. Trying to rush the opposing team’s bench and go after coaches and players? Screaming at a linesman who was just trying to make sure the injured kid got help? Unreal.

I really hope the GTHL looks into this behavior and holds certain parents accountable. This is hockey, injuries are unfortunate, but calling kids “goons” and acting like this is just embarrassing. Hope the injured player has a full recovery, we have our own recordings.

100%. It’s that same TA parent who’s been causing problems for a couple years, always chirping, yelling at refs, making comments to kids and parents on other teams. He’s a total embarrassment. Now he’s out here writing nonsense like he’s some expert. Truth is, he’s not a very bright guy, just a loudmouth trying to stir things up like always. Honestly, it’s parents like him that should be banned from arenas. No place for that kind of garbage in youth hockey.

Parents like that do more harm than good, and it wouldn’t be a bad thing if he was banned from the rink.

Shoulder to shoulder?? What angle are you looking at?
It's another bad hit from the same kid. Repeat offender. Not a surprise unfortunately.
My guess is he won't be seeing the ice for a long time which is appropriate given his history.

No surprise he’s on here now trying to create a whole narrative about the kid who made the hit, classic behaviour from this TA parent. Everyone knows how loud and obnoxious he is in the stands, especially when TA isn’t winning. He’s constantly chirping refs, yelling at kids on the other team, and stirring the pot. The league’s already aware of his behavior, so it’s no shock he’s now running to these forums trying to make a bigger deal out of it. Honestly, he’s a menace. This hit was shoulder to shoulder, an unfortunate accident, but not dirty. But of course, he’s here pushing his drama like always.

Exactly! Everyone knows exactly who you’re talking about. That’s a big reason why there’s such high turnover on TA, nobody wants to be around this guy. It’s just a bad look, and honestly, it’s not doing his kid any favours either. Parents like that embarrass themselves, their kids, and the whole team. It’s no surprise he’s on here now trying to stir the pot again. Just unfortunate all around.

That’s exactly why people are leaving TA….nobody wants to deal with that one loudmouth parent. Dude’s obnoxious, always making a scene in the stands and it’s just not worth the energy to stick around on a mediocre team with that kinda drama. He’s literally driving people away. Can’t blame anyone for wanting out!

My elder son played in the u18A game that was on after. My younger is in the 09 AA loop. The whole league knows about the big kid on TRT who delivered the "shoulder to shoulder" hit. Stop making it about the TA parent. The TRT kid is dirty and everyone outside your team gets it. I can guarantee the league will be coming down hard. And you're delusional thinking it's just an unfortunate play.
You should be ashamed of yourself, but you don't have the insight.

I don’t even have a kid on either team, but let’s be real — calling a kid a “goon” isn’t it. This is hockey, stuff happens.

And honestly, the bigger issue here is that TA parent. People have had enough of him because he’s been a problem for a couple of years now. He’s loud, obnoxious, and constantly stirring the pot. His own team doesn’t even want to be associated with him, that’s why there’s so much turnover. He’s literally one of the reasons kids leave. He’s a bully within his own team, and everyone knows it.

"The bigger issue is the parent?" The issue is the kid seizing on the ice due to a dirty hit from a dirty player. I agree calling him a goon is wrong, but get your priorities in order buddy.
