VRE would likely prefer SIR over FH based on regular season results. I think VRE has only beaten FH once, maybe twice, in the last 2 years. You could also argue the opposite I guess, VRE blew out FH in their last game while getting steamrolled by SIR.

An SIR vs VRE series would bring out the worst in both teams and would get ugly fast.
VRE wants the SIR/FH series to go the distance.
Makes no sense...this is not the NHL where teams prefer to heal and wait and let the other teams bang each other up, to find out players have been playing with broken body parts etc. These are 15 year old kids. If anything, you want it to start right away, especially since VRE appears to be very hot and playing great hockey sweeping both LF and NT which deserves a pat on the back

Tonight should tell us what we need to know about SIR/FH...I cannot see FH laying another egg, they are too good, but if they go down 2-0...will be very difficult to crawl back.

Then SIR and VRE can beat the piss out of each other

We should all chip in and have the NT guys live stream with commentary

VRE will be the underdog no matter who makes it out of the SIR/FH series.

I get that people have favourites and opinions. But honestly, what makes you say this?
SIR struggled out of the gate with WH.
FH needed 5 games to eliminate TA and looked awful in game 1 of the current series.
VRE hasn't dropped a game or even tied through two series. Only team east or west to do that.
VRE is on a 10 game win streak. SIR and FH never got close to a 10 game heater this year.
VRE took 2 or 3 from SIR in the regular season. Didn't win the series with FH, but beat them 5-1 last time they played.
Given all this, maybe tell us WHY they're clearly the underdog?

VRE will happily take the underdog label - nothing to lose, everything to gain. Especially vs SIR, which will have a lot of pressure (from themselves and for all the talk they've been doing all season) to close out and do so convincingly.

FH beats SIR 3-2. Two quality teams might be duking it out for awhile yet.

So SIR won handily short handed and lost at full strength?

FH was short last night. It just depends what kids decide to show up. Who got a good nights sleep. What they ate. So many factors. FH is going to have to show up every game. If the do win they will spank the sh it out of VRE as they have before. VRE wont “wheel wheel” over FH!

You can say that again! NT was lucky end of season. FH shit the bed. VRE got a great seed and played the weaker teams. The next series VRE will be in for a rude awakening. No more easy wins. Reality is about to settle in for them.
