Guest wrote: Fri Mar 14, 2025 9:39 am With VRE in the finals, who’d they rather play?
VRE would likely prefer SIR over FH based on regular season results. I think VRE has only beaten FH once, maybe twice, in the last 2 years. You could also argue the opposite I guess, VRE blew out FH in their last game while getting steamrolled by SIR.

An SIR vs VRE series would bring out the worst in both teams and would get ugly fast.
VRE wants the SIR/FH series to go the distance.
Makes no sense...this is not the NHL where teams prefer to heal and wait and let the other teams bang each other up, to find out players have been playing with broken body parts etc. These are 15 year old kids. If anything, you want it to start right away, especially since VRE appears to be very hot and playing great hockey sweeping both LF and NT which deserves a pat on the back

Tonight should tell us what we need to know about SIR/FH...I cannot see FH laying another egg, they are too good, but if they go down 2-0...will be very difficult to crawl back.

Then SIR and VRE can beat the piss out of each other

We should all chip in and have the NT guys live stream with commentary
VRE will be the underdog no matter who makes it out of the SIR/FH series.
You can say that again! NT was lucky end of season. FH shit the bed. VRE got a great seed and played the weaker teams. The next series VRE will be in for a rude awakening. No more easy wins. Reality is about to settle in for them.
Shocking revelation. Playoffs get harder the deeper you go.
But get real. FH is inconsistent. SIR dropped 2 games to the 8 seed (yes, the voided game is still a loss.) No one is unbeatable.
Show some respect to NT. They weren’t lucky to finish 2nd. They were unlucky not holding on to 1st.
And while you’re at it, show some respect to LF. That team posted wins against every top team this season.
Back to back sweeps are hard. No one on here predicted VRE would do that. Almost no one had VRE in the final.
Next round won’t be easy. But calling it a “rude awakening” is just stupid.
Anyone who thinks VRE will fold like a cheap suit against SIR or FH hasn’t been paying attention. VRE had the best record in the east last season. And tied for 2nd this year.
You don’t think VRE might be the best of the top teams? Fine. But check out the combined total wins over the past two seasons and tell me why “reality is about settle in.”
VRE 48
SIR 46
FH 46
TA 45
NT 41

Next round will be a great a match up because there won’t be a favorite or an underdog!

And FH went on to win the east. Who cares. Regular season means nothing.

Rant when you win it. Til then keep it down. SIR or FH, neither is going to lay down like LF or NT.

SIR 6-1 today. Ever since SIR got right with WH they’ve looked unstoppable.

If the Ice Raiders found their groove than Vaughn could be in trouble.

Eagles vs Sharks in the West. Could the sharks pull it off?

Notice how quiet it is on here as teams drop off? Hmmmmm, maybe it wasn’t those Scarborough parents after all.

No disrespect to the Forest Hill boys. Scarborough is just stronger. The series will end Tuesday.
A Vaughan East - Scarborough series will turn on the individual refs and how they call each game. If they let it get physical it will.

Hmmm… did they not lose their previous game? Not sure if know the definition of unstoppable. Let’s just call it the way it is. This is great hockey, any team can show up and win. Let’s enjoy the ride.
