We (Barrie) clinched today. YSE came close but couldn’t do it. . They don’t pass and their D is awful. Not a chance they’re beating Whitby tomorrow.

If YSE beat WW tomorrow, who advances? Does it go down to head to head which YSE would have the advantage?

You would think OMHA would post these details somewhere for public to know. But I am guessing coaches and managers were informed at some point before playoff began.

Last year, Whitby and YSE were also tied in points but Whitby had the head to head advantage. It went to a tiebreaker game.

With uncertainty of a few teams in the loop, there will be kids on a year to year basis always looking for a better team the following year and create heavy competition. The 2013 group needs to consider moving from a team in the year when contact starts will be a challenge unless your child is above average in size. If you are planning to go to a new team this year consider the LTDP and the coach who is going to take you through to the years of body contact. For all the talented kids that lack size, pick your club and consider showing what you can do with your skills in the final year pre body contact. Switching teams in the year when contact starts is going to filter out a lot of skill based on size.

Good luck in tryouts

Best of luck to the teams representing the East ( QRD,KG,WW,BJC )

Also good luck to everyone during tryouts and those who are moving on to summer sports! It's important to take a step back from the game and experience other spots in the off season even if you are still getting on the ice for a few skates during the summer.

remember these kids are only 11-12 years old.... hockey is not everything 12 months of the year.
