SIR needs to win tonight and not look forward to the next series.

However, for those of us who aren't on either team, we collectively look forward to the petty shit show of arguments from an SIR vs VRE series. Ordering my popcorn machine...
Extra butter and M&Ms to sprinkle into the bag for the mystery bite...

If that series does happen, SIR is the better team and should win the series, and the side show will be how doe the VRE kids react to same. For anyone who watched the video of the last game, the end of the game theatrics were 100% on the shoulders of the coach for intentinally putting on his loose cannon.

But first game, game 4 tonight...if anyone is capable of taking 2 from SIR...its FH who have always been a great team
Another blowout for SIR 6-1. SIR VS VRE FINALS.
FH is not a good hockey team, too soft!
FH is a good hockey team. SIR is better.
Now that the 2 most hated teams are in the final who ya got in how many games?
I think this goes 5 games. Watched a bit of SIR FH game last night, SIR was simply the better team. But VRE plays SIR well so I think it will be a closer series.

We've played both teams enough to know their strengths and weaknesses.
SIR relies on a hard forecheck and forcing opponents to take penalties. But their aggressiveness will sometimes backfire, putting themselves in the box more than the other team. Also, keeping the puck out of their own end covers up some weakness in goal.
VRE relies on speed in transition and strong goaltending. If they're able to get their cycle going, watch out. But they struggle against a heavy forecheck. When they get bottled up in their own end it often leads to dumb penalties.
Winner will be the team that overcomes its own weaknesses and forces the other to play their game.

You sure? Sounds more like a SIR parent worried his boys will take too many penalties.

you can say that again, FH got it handed to them. SIR dominated. Scored in almost all PP situations. you have to hand it to the SIR coaches for doing a great job. FH looked like a select team out there!

weakness in goal? 21 shutouts and 18 games with 1 goal against, find me another duo with those numbers.

No offence to the goalies, but VRE has a stronger duo. SIR's strength in forecheck is a big help with those numbers.

In the final clash, where tensions flare,
Vaughan Rangers and Scarborough dare,
To fight on ice, a bitter grudge,
Where every check is not a nudge.

The puck drops, the battle's set,
Two rivals meet with no regret,
The Rangers skate with fire in their eyes,
The Raiders cold as the winter skies.

The crowd is loud, the atmosphere thick,
Each moment sharp, each hit is quick,
No love lost between these two,
Each stride they take, a fierce pursuit.

The Raiders charge with vicious speed,
Their blades cut deep, their hearts in need,
Of victory to end this war,
To settle scores, to settle the score.

But the Rangers fight with equal might,
In every pass, they take their bite,
They know this is their time to shine,
The final test, the victory line.

The ice cracks loud with every blow,
The rivals' hatred starts to show,
They battle hard, with every part,
No room for mercy, no softened heart.

The final seconds, ticking slow,
As both teams push, as tensions grow,
A goal or miss, it’s all at stake,
For one will fall, the other break.

The whistle blows, the game is done,
The final battle, finally won,
But no matter who takes home the crown,
This rivalry will never drown.

For in this war of ice and skill,
The hatred burns, it never will,
The Vaughan Rangers, Scarborough’s might,
A final clash, in hockey's light.

Saw this in the west section. Would be great if someone has similar info for the east.

I've been to a few skates and have contacted others. These are my observations...

Panthers - believe it or not there was plenty of good talent at their skate last weekened.

Rangers - mostly select players and plenty of Goulding kids out.

Attack - coach non-responsive

Avs - was told to come to tryouts in May

Sharks - told to contact following playoffs

Eagles - told to come to tryouts but they may do a skate prior. There will be spots.

WM - no interest based on stories I've heard.

GPR ... believe they are recruiting via open borders ... but normally bottom of the standings year after year.

Willowdale ... new parent coach ... a bunch of turnover with team ... parent coach seems like a good guy and a knowledgable coach so improvements could be seen

YM ... who knows ... but they relied too heavily two seasons ago on a player that went to AA this past season and they over valued their team and crashed this year ... doesn't seem like they want to make some tough decisions on their team

Knights ... new coach ... replacing some of their weaker players ... should be better

Islanders ... dumpster fire ... new coach coming in is old Panther coach ... I'd stay away

WH ... rumour is that they are bringing in a bunch of AA players

Leaside .. haven't heard much

Ted Reeve ... only looking at AA players coming down

Aeros ... rumours of parent/dressing room issues ... read some of the posts coming out of the playoffs ... player left mid season and also during playoffs... but team always seems to do well though

Forest Hill ... rumour of top scorer coming down from AA team ...

VRE ... not sure ... but invite only to skates

NT ... not sure

SIR ... maybe one change... haven't heard of skates ... focused on finals.
