But VRE sent a message the way they got off the mat late in the game. Leaving the rink the SIR boys looked shook.
That typically is what happens when a team falls asleep for two minutes in the 3rd and allows the other team to tie the game, when by then it should have been running time. Cudos to VRE for not giving up, and their goalies making some of the most unbelievable saves to keep the game within reach.

And as always, the classy VRE dad who at the beginning of the game, with no animosity anywhere, saying loud enough for everyone to hear " get those dirty mother f *ckers"
I've seen adults on both teams setting bad examples for the kids. Let's stop the finger pointing and just enjoy what's shaping up to be a fantastic battle.
I'm not a parent of either team. Brought my kid to watch some of his friends play. What I did see is Sir parents being loud. But not swearing at teenagers. VRE parents were swearing at Sil kids and aboat SIR kids. What I did here and I know everybody heard was Scarborough parents praising the goalies great saves. Or criticizing the referee. It's pretty shitty listening to A level hockey parents acting like it's the World Cup finals. Now I understand where the team gets its reputation from. It all starts from home.

Easily the best comment of the game. Someone takes his A hockey way too serious.

Translation: Now that my kid’s team is golfing the rest of you need to take it way less seriously.

It took an extra day or two, but we're exactly where we all knew this series would go to - SIR parents virtue signaling that they're not as obnoxious as the VRE parents, and VRE parents arguing back. One team will be crowned champion, neither parent group is a contender for the Lady Byng, so stop pretending that one group is better than the other.

So here's a little ammo for the VRE parents. SIR is currently signed up for the Aeros tournament next week. Love the confidence from their coaches!

Maybe VRE should consider taking that spot now that their “heater” seems to be over.
