Do you realize good GTHL players would score 100 - 150 goals a season in the OMHA? It’s such a weak league.

This wins dumbest comment. Clearly made from a dad whose kid probably just made his first G team and doesn’t realize he will be a bench warmer. Look at the provincial rankings. Of the top 20 only 7 of them are GTHL teams. Aside from the top 4 in the G the rest are average to low end OMHA/ALLIANCE teams.

Proof of that is in the tournament results, go ahead and look them up. Some of the bottom feeders in other leagues easily beat G teams.

Yes go at tournament results. Not one top 4 G team lost to any OMHA or Alliance team all year. And they destroyed every one that they played. It’s a different level bud. Mid pack GTHL teams like Don Mills would win the red hats. The fact that you’re taking your crappy kid out of that league proves it, as does the fact that you stalk this GTHL thread. If the league is so good why don’t you stay? I guarantee you’ll go crawling back after a year.

Omha West and his dad was the coach of the CRC.

I want to stay anonymous but I think that I can help sort something out. We came to the GTHL a little over a year ago from the Omha. Prior to that my eldest son played in the Alliance for 3 years, so I've seen hockey in all 3 leagues.

I'm not going to speculate on what teams would beat who because thats stupid. But I can say as a rule of thumb I think it's fair to say that a good player in the Gthl would score 50% more goals/assist/points in the Omha and twice the goals/assist/points in the Alliance.

I'm not saying there are not good coaches or players in the Omha or Alliance, but if anyone thinks those leagues are as strong as the GTHL then they're crazy. They just aren't and thats a fact, not an opinion.
