Any truth to West Hill brining in the Don Mills Coach for 10k next season?
[/quote]
Heard the same rumors, but honestly, 10K for a coach at this level sounds wild. If West Hill is really making that kind of move, it just proves how desperate they are. Paying that much doesn’t guarantee success—if the talent isn’t there, no coach is fixing that. Don Mills runs a solid program, but throwing money at the problem isn’t gonna magically turn West Hill into a top team. If this is true, they better hope it pays off, or else it’s just 10K down the drain for nothing.

10k for a paid coach is quite reasonable. Running 2 practics, plus being on bench for both games. What do most teams pay for skill trainers to come to both practices all season long? Probably anywhere from 6-10k so this isn't bad at all.

That if he doesn’t have conflicts with DMFAAA, which he will. 10k for second fiddle for a guy who’ll miss 40% for u16A is dumb.

Didn’t this guy just coach the winless TR AA team? lol, 10k well spent.

WH has signed a few AA Kids for next season and will be the team to beat next season. Upgrading both in goal and upfront.

it was the season before and his DMF teams have been mediocre at best. Maybe this guy will know the rules when they have a suspended player

WH The kids coming down to A to will be decent players but don't expect that will change the league dynamic much, LF, EE and SYB kids.
FH is getting the top player from the AA team, and will be the top player in the loop. FH is well coached and will definitely be in mix next year.
NT lost a few players and are still looking.
SIR grabbed WH's top D (not sure how they let him walk) and a player from MI as their only changes .
VRE is picking up a few kids to bolster their attack from what I hear.
TA is a mystery as the team was kind of a mess at seasons end.
YM added a few players but don't see much changing.
GPR is apparently getting some OMHL Kids, maybe they win a game?

All the moves should make for a great season. The best part of this season was how competitive the loop was.

How is WH signing kids??? that's TAMPERING! - Coach is at it again I see. He should be waiting for tryouts like the rest of the league.

Why pay a coach for "A" hockey?

you guys are nutz. travel time, two practices a week, 2 games a week lets call the games 2.5 hours considering pre game, flood and a chat after the game plus travel times.
Practices Assuming 34 weeks = 102 hours with travel
Games 34 games = 85 hours
Tournaments
any extra skates
try outs
lets just call it 200 hours.
Think about what any random job pays per hour.
10000 minimum
more like 15k plus some hotel for a tourney!
