Probably back up. BC would need at least 70 percent maybe more to stay. But they need a stronger #2 if they want to compete

For what it's worth...my view as a non G parent who has coached as well

It is a tough job at this or any age, they start off under developed skill wise as they often are the last thought in some coaches practice plan (Full disclosure- I did it when I started coaching. For proof go watch an Atom practice from HL to AAA. A lot of coaches send one to each end and have kids roll in 4 ft apart during flow drills to taking 30 shots in a minute with the G sometimes getting hit 3 or 4 times in the melon.

Skill development wise most G schools are like a Walmart where they jam 30 G's on the ice and just run you from station to station with kids a few yrs older often running a station.

Experience wise a G can get on a really good team where they get 8-10 shots a game and are never challenged or on a team that allows 50 shots a game and their confidence gets crushed.

When a F stops scoring people say "he has cooled off" but when a G struggles "he sucks" or "cannot stop a beach ball"

Try this ...on Monday at work ask 5 of your co-workers to crowd around you desk to watch you work...then when you make a mistake they whisper to each other or roll their eyes and throw up their hands in disgust. Now imagine how you would deal with that if you were between 8-14.

My experience, and I may be way offside, is you need size, skill but more so a tremendous amount of mental strength to play the position.

They are all great honestly

The coach and his son (who is pretty good) are moving up
There are players who know they are leaving or are still searching for a soft landing

Watch a mid pack team in the G. The do the same thing once Jan rolls around.

Leading most of the game against ckc
Tight game with Brantford
